Sorry if the title is a bit strange, but it's hard to phrase simply. Basically, (on the regular void ray), if you attack using a void ray, no beam appears. If you move, then attack again, there's a beam this time. I haven't the faintest clue why. As far as I know, I didn't make any changes to the void ray, and this has only been happening since the most recent patch. This map uses campaign dependencies, but I thought that I fixed most of the issues with that.
So far, I've thought it was just from Blizzard. A glitch or something, it will occasionally happen on the other units too. It's not you, It's on other maps too.
happens with my firebats. it's annoying.
i figure it's just a cache thing, first time the effect is loaded it doesn't load in time to be used ingame, but it's ready for all subsequent tries.
Go into the model section of the data editor, find the Firebat Attack Flame. Under flags you'll find a flag called "Ignorable" check-marked. Simply remove the check-mark and your firebat attack -should- show up 100% of the time. This might have some kind of negative effect but none that I've ever noticed.

If you set a flag you can make it fire the first time. I'm totally blanking on what flag though and I don't have access to the editor at the moment.
I've seen it happen with Firebat's attack too, in L2D and in custom maps. Maybe a fix would be to add it to the preload assets?

The issue I'm having, however, is not with the Firebat. The ignorable flag is not checked already, in the case of the Void Ray.
