So if you take the normal medic healing ability, set the medic energy regeneration rate to 0, set the Recharge Vital Rate of the (Create Healer) effect and the Drain Vital Cost Factor to 1:
The medic heals for 1 and uses 1 energy per tick.
If you change the Drain Vital Cost factor to 2, as expected she heals for 1 and uses 2 energy per tick.
Now if you go back to the medic unit and change her energy regeneration to 1, all of a sudden it all breaks. She does't use any energy while healing, even if you set the Drain factor to 100.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug?
So there are 2 issues:
Energy Regeneration Delay is being ignored, because when its set the regeneration rate shouldn't matter
Thing don't seem to add up, or I'm misunderstanding how it's all calculated.
Set your energy regeneration rate to something lower then 1... Ive had this problem before... It usually doesnt work if you set it to more then 0.8 so I recommend setting it to 0.7 or less...
If I set the healing rate higher it works as well, which is okay for now - still the question remains if it's a bug or we are just looking at it the wrong way.
I noticed that the regeneration rate is per second, but the healing rate is per tick, so not sure if that effects something.
Either way if I set the factor to 100 it should drain energy very quickly but doesn't move.

@KratsAU: Go
have you resolved this at all? I am having this issue..
Eh kinda, i mean i got it work good enough, but the numbers still don't really add up/make sense.
