I want to create a repair tower - I use the Hive Minde Emulator Structure and want to make it fire a nano-repair-like beam from its turrent. I tried to copy the nano-repair ability or to create a new weapon with a negative Damage, but acutally I dont seam to understand the editor well enough to make it work the way that I want. What is nessersary to deal with the problem?
Use the effect:"Modify Unit" instead of a negative Damage Effect. Negative Damage doesn't realy work that well. You can make an Weapon that scan's for Allied Unit's and uses the Modify Unit Effect to repair them. It also might be smart to add an Validator to the Weapon that checks if the scanned unit doesn't have full health.
What I can not figure out is how I can make it fire a constant beam (here there is a new attack-animation in each period!?) and how can I make the turret "auto-attack", so that it heals allys automatic?
Hm okay I cant figure out how to use a continuous beam, but thats okay... but is there any way to make it auto-attack allied forces (with its repair beam ) I mean without triggers...
Okay I edited the hive mind ability - it autocasts the heal-ability at allys in its range and there is a beam (not a constant one tho). But I cant make the turret face the target...
Thats right - and thats what it does. But thats the problem - the turret of the model is turning and the repair beam is coming out of its weapon-attachement-point... looks quite ugly ^^

cant u just give it medic's heal ability? it autocasts and is a continuous beam
Yeah but it has problems with the turret.. or better: I have problems coupling it to the turret
That's the problem I run into when I try that. Tho the mind controll abilty works fine with the turret.

dont need to make it face the target if the angle of the ability is 360 degrees. it will fire no matter where the target is.

change arc to 360.
