Hey guys can anyone quickcheck if this model is broken in the latest patch or it's my graphic driver problem? I used this model few month ago it was ok....
It cals PsionicLashImpact/CasterLaunch. Here is my screenshot:
Tested using cutscene editor at Extreme settings on an NVidia 760 GTX.
In the screenshot the large planar squares are probably meant to be particles. They will appear as a large square if the required textures load incorrectly since normally the borders are transparent due to alpha. Any form of driver side texture compression or performance optimization can cause this to occur as the alpha can become corrupted or lost during compression or resampling.
Attached is an example of what both should look like when stacked at the same point.
Be sure to check out the extension mod: Hots Custom Map support on NA and EU, Despite the name it greatly expands the roster of options for the default 3 races and is updated all the way to NCO.
The problem appears on "Birth" animations. Did you test it?
No because you did not tell me to test it? Only that "quickcheck if this model is broken".
Tested it now and same visual error as everyone else.
The cause is a corrupt texture. "shockwave1_warp1blue2.dds" is corrupt in side the standard mods and so fails to load anything meaningful.
The solution would be to import a custom one at the same path to overwrite it thus fixing it? In fact it must only be corrupted in a patch/HotS so it still exists in earlier MPQs.
If you import the attached file to the path "Assets/Textures", save and reload it will be fixed. Both birth animations will appear correct.
