Hey :)
Long time no see Forum XD
While creating the probably most epic funmap EVAR I've run into another problem :/
Maybe I should explain what I'm doing before posting the problem: I don't know if you guys have ever played Dawn of War: Dark Crusade but there was a game mode called "Asassinate" where you not just spawned you HQ and a Worker but also you Hero (Kinda you). If you died, you lost the match.
I want to do something similar for Starcraft 2. I'm working on the Protoss Units right now. There is this Protoss Hero (a Zealot with the Zealot Prisonder Model because it looks moar Epic) that is more powerful than a normal Zealot. The Problem is the first of his abilities: Charge. Just like a normal Zealot he's supposed to be able to close onto enemies quickly with greater speed and over a longer distance than normal zealots. So I copied the Ability charge, made a new Buttong called Heroic Charge, copied the Effect (Trigger Buff) Copied the Behavior, etc etc etc until I was down to everything I needed tor charge. I adjusted the attributes (more range and speed) and tested it... and nothering happend. The zealot did not charge.
What I did then to test it, I basicly took the Charge ability as it is on the zealot (Just the original) and nother happend again (after I researched the ability in the Twillight Council of cause, as you do in a normal game.
Am I missing something super duper obvious? And if I am, can you please open my eyes (again)? XD BTW, the Zealot Hero stats (the Protoss Zerg and Terran Heros will be balanced so they are the same strengh)
HP: 100
Shield: 200
Armor HP/ Shield: 5
Dmg Normal: 40
DMG - Armored: +60
Atk Speed: 0.5
Movementspeed: 2.95
Energy: 300
Planned abilities:
Heroic Charge ( What this topic is about^^ )
Feedback ( but with a shorter cooldown and possibly as an autocast ability )
Mind Blizzard ( Bigger and better Psi Storm that needs more Energy as well )
Shield Boost: Will convert remaining Energypoints into Shieldopints ( until they are full ). I think that's the toughest one, I don't know if i'll actually be able to do this =S
Well, thanks in advance, if you have any questions relevant to the topic or information you need to help me, please ask, i'll try to answer them all :)

Does your zealot hero use a ranged weapon? The charge works with normal zealots because they only have a melee weapon. They detect their target from afar, and the charge only boosts their speed while running the distance. If you have a ranged weapon, the charge won't work because the unit doesn't need to move anymore. It will only boost its speed but since it attacks without moving, it's pretty much useless.
It may also be because of the validators in the charge ability. I don't remember which one is used, but I have already checked once and it might explain why your zealot doesn't charge its target or doesn't use its ability. I also use a zealot prisoner in my current project and the charge ability doesn't work as expected either... but it's because of the ranged weapons I use, so...

@SpaceKookie: Go
Em, you should look into some fields of effects. I'm assuming that there are some fields with a unit (like, Zealot - not Zealot Hero).
