So I have run into a predicament. Im in the final stages of my newest version of my map (called Xel'naga Offence) where I am introducing protoss into the brawl. Because of this, I can no longer have the 'out of bounds' made of photon cannons that do 5000 damage each. So What I have done was used a different structure called the xel'naga vault.
So here is what I am trying to do. I want the xel'naga vaults to act exactly like photon cannons. So I have mirrored them to photon cannons, which gives them the ability to shoot. However, this means that they have the same stat like as photon cannons, as they use the same weapon.
So, logically if I were co duplicate the photon cannon, and then change the copy, I would be able to map the xel'naga vault to this one, and leave the original alone.
But as soon as I use the duplicate command to make a copy of either the photon cannon, the weapon, the launch cycle, or even just the damage, and then map the copy to the Xel'naga vault, it will no longer shoot.
Anyone know why this is, or how to get what I am trying to do to work? Thanks.
Sure you duped all that is needed? Does the model have a good launch site? Photon cannons have a turret that enables their weapon to turn and not all models have a z attachment so you may need to set the weapon arc to 360.
