This must be the most advanced thing I have ever encountered. Everything I try fails. I have no idea at all how to create this.
Ok.. Let me start from the beginning:
Vultures and Corsairs in BW were able to do a "moving shot." It meant that if microed correctly, they could attack and move without loosing any speed! This was extra crucial for Corsairs vs mutalisks. It allowed a few Corsairs to attack a HUGE army of mutas, deal some dmg and retreat, deal some dmg and retreat etc. That is not possible otherwise, since units STOP and then shoot. (And when Corsairs stop to shoot, mutalisks catches them..)
Here is a video that demonstrates it with Wraiths & Vultures:
(Vulture starts at 1 minute)
Here is a video that demonstrates Corsairs. (BW Corsairs starts at 55 seconds)
How can this be recreated in the SC2 editor?
(Obviously someone has managed to create it atleast.. )
@Kabelkorven: Go You need to edit the weapon. There are some flags and fields that change it. There's one field if I remember it right that has some options like "stationary", "decceleration", "moving" that saya when a weapon can be fired. I'm not in the editor right now but if you try the weapon data I'm sure you will find what you need.
I have modified the weapon values a lot - no deacceleration, allowed firing "movement" and a lot of other fields. I just canĀ“t manage to create it as smooth as in the video.. Everytime the Vulture shoots in the video, there seems to be a buff applied. Maybe that is the secret?
@Kabelkorven: Go If you can't recreate it just as it was in BW (doesn't surprise me, they left many micro possibilities out) then I agree you may want to work on a buff.
Another flag I remembered that could be involved is in the unit: the one that says if a unit must move or not in order to turn or something like that. I don't remember the name, but maybe it's what makes the unit loose speed when attacking. The Turn Speed in the unit's movement tab may be important as well.
And then don't forget to set the weapon arc field to 360 degrees (not mentioned here) so your unit will auto-acquire attackers properly. Getting this to look nice visually will probably require a turret, but I've never had to make one before and can't help you much there.
@zeldarules28: Go The catch is he doesn't want to allow the unit to attack while moving unless the player can micro it properly. That's another thing entirely as he can't simply use that configuration.
Try the Recoil, Damage Point and Random Min/Max Delay fields on the weapon. You also probably have to set Allowed Movement to Deceleration, and set the turning speed of the unit itself to the maximum possible value. Also make sure the weapon doesn't use a channeled persistent effect (with >0 duration) or the like.
quick question...is there a way to make the Purifiers Planet Craker ability to be used on the move ( like the glassing ray of the covenant capital ships in the Halo 3 flood gate mission)??

Thank you Soulfilcher - helpful as always :)

Found this in an old thread. This is talking about the battlecruiser but it's the same fields with your own weapon.

Thank you for all replies.
I have experimented with the values you all have mentioned. But I can not get the Corsair to work as good as in this video:
(55 seconds in it is the Corsair)
Anymore ideas how to create the SC2 corsair to move & shoot like BW Corsairs?
Would anyone mind to create a test map with this? (Maybe I just have failed to make it work )
Phoenix.
