I am making a map based on Angry Birds. I have been able to figure out how to launch a baneling that explodes on impact but that is the extent of my data knowledge. I am requesting help with the attack that would represent the little blue birds.
I want the player to select one point (dont need to target unit) and the ability fires.
A cocoon (egg model) is launched in the air.
I need it to appear as if gaining and loosing height like the Infested Terran ability.
In the air the cocoon splits into three winged zerglings. The cocoon is destroyed.
One Zergling would fly straight and die on impact with the ground.
The other two Zerglings would fly at an angle and die on impact.
When the Zerglings land and die on impact with the ground they would do a very small area aoe damage.
So basically cocoon launches and in air splits into 3 zerglings. Whoever helps me with this will be credited on the loading screen and will be my bff.
The splitting should work in the example map you found earlier. What exactly are you struggling with now? What have you tried, and what does happen now?
BTW, you cannot assume everyone knows your Angry Birds, I certainly don't. If there is specific information implied by knowing this game, make sure to provide it separately.
I can piece together if I know the parts I think. Now I've finished every one but this. I modified raven seeker, yamato, and infested terrans for the others. I'm having trouble with yours because I am very clueless to data and movers. The best I could do is get the missile to shoot a bunch of Zerglings that fly in loops. I'll keep trying of course but I was hoping for some help in case I couldn't figure it out.
This afternoon I'm going to read everything I can on movers and go from there. This is my first attempt at missiles and movers and such so excuse my noobishness. Would I edit the side mover to just land at target and then create 2 more movers that travel at angles?

I am not here to exactly help you with what you want, but if its 3 zerglings coming out, why call it angry birds, call it Angry Zerglings :)
The best way to do the animation is via Movers probably (see http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/game/maps-and-mods/tutorials/missile-movers/ for a thorough covering of what and how they're used). Splitting i think can be done via data, though I myself haven't tried it.
The actual map name is "Angry Zergs". It is based on the game "Angry Birds". Thanks for the info RCIX I'm gonna check it out.
hmm ,zergs fits so much better!!
It seems, you did run out of luck? ;)

Example of the blue bird in the game.
