I tried to make a game with autospawn with a custom unit. I got as far as making a clone, editing health/sheidls/name. Then, when i tried to add a weapon i made i couldnt figure it out. Is there a certain way to do this?
Copying actors can cause trouble as the events can get replicated so it is best if you make them from scratch. As for the trees of effects and behaviors, the more control you have over them the more impressive weapons of mass awesome you can create.

I disagree. It's much easier to duplicate an existing weapon that is similar to what you're shooting for. The actor events are automatically updated to reflect the duplication.
Not for spine crawler or collossus, those weapon actors really mess up. Also you find that some actor events can get triplicated within the same actor which can cause interference if you alter one.

Data Editor - Units - Your Unit - Weapons +
Just add the weapon you want the unit to have.
Your weapon will also need effects and an action actor.

Would it work if i copied the g-4 cluster bomb? (as in, have the acton actor, etc.)
How do i modify damage?
You can add any weapon you like. You can set the damage in the weapon's damage effect. The best way to find is to look for it in the object explorer.
