Greetings all. I'm trying to make a shock effect that occurs when a unit is attacked. The behavior is supposed to create a search area effect on the defender which applies a damage effect to all nearby units that do not have the shock behavior. Currently everything works fine EXCEPT the search area effect is happening on the attacking unit, not the defender.
Yes, I checked to make sure Location was set to Defender in the Damage Response section of the behavior.
You need to set the "Impact" of the search to caster or source, not target. It's a defender handled effect but the source is the unit with the behavior, and target is the attacking unit (it may be kind of misleading).

check the launch and impact units for the Search and the Damage effect since you might be applying it to the caster/source.

I'm not sure how launch and impact works with damage response, but here are the values I have set:
Search
Launch - Source Unit
Impact - Target Unit/Point
Damage
Launch - Source Unit
Impact - Target Unit/Point
I tried changing the Impact Location for the search effect to Source Unit but that made the behavior stop working altogether.
try setting the launch of the search to caster?

Setting the impact of the search to caster worked, thank you. Not sure why setting it to source wouldn't but... oh well.
