@BudSMoken: Go
go to your weapons, and find your two goldbaneling weapons called
Volatile Burst (actual weapon) and VolatileBurst15scanrange(actual weapon),
and find the spot "Minimum scan range"
change that to 10.
You have it set to 1 right now.
Guys,
I think you are both misunderstanding what I am doing.
I have the Min Scan range set to 1 for a reason. I do not want the weapons scan range to determine when a baneling attacks you.
The radius of the search effect will determine this.
I want full control of the attacking to be done by the Effects GoldBaneSearch and GoldBaneIssueOrder.
I have the min scan ranges turned off.
As far as the actor message, i have not mnessed with that yet. It is not my problem, i duplicated the actor and havnt had time to fix the animation events yet.
My MAIN problem is the Issue Order trigger..... why doesnt it work.
Well could you please be more precise (and grammatically correct) as to what you want. Unless you specify what you want in great detail we will not know what you want.
Still say use the Augment ability. That has an autocast with a range. It applies an effect which could add your speed boost and then instantly issues the order to use an ability on the target.
whenever your maurader gets within 10 of a goldbaneling, the GoldBaneling gets a speedboost (behavior) and then Attacks you. (notice the lack of capitalization, and inconsistent/random use of capitalization)
lol, i will check it out, but i can't make it more simple then what i have already stated. (sentence fragment compounded with incorrect sentence structure)
I am saddened that I have to fallback to Augment, even if it will do what I want, and never learn
why the IssueOrderEffect doesn't work properly, which also would be a very powerful effect to use in later mapping. (run-on sentence)
Although, I am very used to operating under the paradigm of second hand solutions, I would, on this particular
occasion, perfer to utilize my current effect set.
p.s.
my excessive and irresponsible consumption of narcodics is to overwhelming to deliver a coherent, and gramatically correct argument.
"Dude" (Improper form of address) I still don't understand why it matters what makes your unit attack as long as it does. I was playing the map and got those goldbanelings to do it.(Incomplete sentence, using information from a prior sentence to complete the idea) Why does it seem your being picky as to how it does it? And I'm sorry but your sense of sarcasm makes you seem like a child with a college degree talking shit "cuz" he thinks hes better than everyone else.
If I wanted to be grammatically correct and have perfect sentence structure and be around other people who give a shit I would go to my local english teacher and slap the hell out of em. (Very long run on sentance; and "incorrect sentence structure")
P.S. I would love to help, but your last post made me punch my English teacher.
So basicly you want a Buff behaviour to have a periodic Search Area effect to apply a Set effect that uses Apply Behavior to apply a second Buff behavior with a limited duration and to use the Issue Order effect to use the attack ability on the target unit. You also want a validator of the type Unit Type so that it only triggers when marauders are near.
:P I loved your very long run on sentence there dear sir. My hats to you.
Btw, your trigger works fine, if you sit there and let them come close enough they WILL attack. Your "problem" is in your data editor. Your other one is being stubborn when another way works just as fine but you demand its the trigger.
I have a unit called a GoldBaneling.
Here is what I want... whenever your maurader gets withtin 10 of a goldbaneling, the GoldBaneling gets a speedboost (behavior) and then Attacks you.
I got it so that the baneling gets its speed boost, but for some reason it will not attack you.

I noticed you work with actor messages and rotation, could you please explain AttachSetRotation I described the issue here http://forums.sc2mapster.com/development/data/21646-turret-rotation-solved-just-one-question/?post=1 thank you
Use an Augment ability like the zealot's charge to order it to attack after applying an effect (apply your speed boost behavior).

@DrSuperEvil: Go
he has those GoldBaneling attacking random points on the map, and his problem is he wants them to attack when they come within range,
The issue was they were attacking at a range, just a very small range, which was set to 1, and changing it to 10, they act as he wanted.
He has regular banelings that he was using as a test, and they behave the correct way. via the exact same triggers.

What does Augment not do that you want?
