as the title says, i want a spell that can be set to auto cast, to make units move to a nearby mineral shard.
please give me an in-depth tutorail to make this spell, it would be much appreciated

Use an Effect - Instant ability that is autocast that uses a Search Area effect with an Enumerate Area validator. Set the filters of both to require resource (or some other unique unit attribute combination of your shards) and get the Search Area effect to use an Issue Order effect on the caster to go to the target via the Move ability.

We usually guide people on what to do to solve their problems, not provide a step by step tutorial. In other words, we assume you have some basic proficiency with the editor. If you don't then, well, maybe you should learn more about the editor before trying to move further with your map.

Where exactly do you struggle when trying to create DrSuperEvil's suggestion?
Did you ever create an ability before? Do you know the structure of the data editor?
my problem is, i just didn't understand where the infomation he gave could be found, and the basics into using the knowledge.
in other words, i didn't know where to start, if i was pointed in the right direction, i would be able to follow everything he said.

He gave you basically a step by step instruction on how to make the ability in the data editor. The bold words are the types of objects you need to create.
If you have no idea, how to even create an ability, I suggest searching tutorials for it.
Does it need to be an ability? I created a region in my map and via triggers force the units to move to it. Once they enter they are ordered to gather nearby resources.

actually, i understand what he said now, thanks sooooooooooooooo much, my map is complete, im putting you 4 on my map helper list.
to find the map, search Xhess War Board on the EU batlle.net, its a simple mélee like map with a twist, i appreciate all the help.
