Hi, my map is in alpha stage. Ive only began testing it a few times now and things are looking good. its pretty darn polished and probably further along than most released maps, but im pretty picky, so i still feel like theres always more to add / fine tune.
anyways, looking for a loading screen particularly, but also other images should you choose to help do any more. and if you want to help with balance etc of stuff thats welcome. more input is always a good thing.
the map is essentially a hero arena on a volcanic island. you are a morphling that can morph between various base classes. you can select the unique perks for each ability per class, so the possibilities are daunting really for the game setup per player. the units are all unique. the base units are modified zerg units. the npcs are infested protoss.
base classes;
roach class
hydra class
queen class
ultralisk class
infetested terran class;
npcs;
infested zealot
infested berserker
ionfested templar
infester high templar
infested probe
ionfested observer
infested slasher
infested immortal
infested archon
infested colossi
etc....
(more dont come to mind)

im quite picky about what gets involved. if anyone follows the terraining forum, you must know of Joecab. he was awesome enough to help and did some terrain and ideas etc....

what i really am hoping to get;
small pic for loading screne (using melee so you can see every player status)
small pic for arcade icon
bonuses to 'hope' for;
possible select icon changes...
possible wireframe update models (would be sick)
also, if something doesnt look pretty darn perfect or ability work perfect in all situations including animations / sounds etc... it needs to be changed. i enjoy working the detail.
ANY input on balance / further ideas is ALWAYS welcomed.
Apologies doesnt mean to offend you but I'm not good at sketching, Yet some of my Loading Screen are from Google.. Like Doom Bringer on a different art. Not similar to Dota however. :)
Hey ezbeats! I can think up one of two concepts, unsure however if we should post in the same PM that has 85 posts in it now or start a new PM, or post pics here.
I do not have Photoshop however so wireframes and custom icons I would be unable to supply.
Edit: Here was a concept I was working on, took the image in game to make the image larger.
i like it, as usual you are one of top artists on here, espcially in regards to lighting POV / terrain on here. anyways, i like it, though with the theme as infested protoss, maybe an infested protoss or protoss like including as well? maybe a protoss structure on the side elluding to protoss involvement?
also, i like the default loading screen where you see everyone elses loading bar. but with that mode, you are unable to show text like tips etc.... you are probably right that some quick text at the loading would most likely make the first round for noobs easier. anyways, ill get back to you this thread later tongiht or tommorow!
and no worries Mugen, i do appreciate the suggestions of using google. can always learn from others tips / methods / sources.
Here is the new and improved version, it fits the green dark Protoss, and I gave a sort of hint of protoss in this one, but it is dark and in the background because the zergling is the main focus of the image. I also used a gas model that has much more texture to it.
Unfortunately I do not have any files that can convert this from .jpeg to a .dds or .tga to make it useable as a loading screen, also, if someone has a higher screen capture capability than 1280x720 I can send them along the map and see if the picture is acceptable (have to take 9 or 10 pictures until I get the gleam and the clouds just right :) )
Edit: I was able to find a way to convert the file to .tga and .dds, I will give you both the .dds and the .tga even though the .tga file is larger and more clear, the .dds file is just slightly not as clear, but smaller, so I will let you choose which one you want to use.
