That's basically what the reaver looks like now. I'm not too sure on how to get teamcolors... I copied the pre-existing texture map's style pretty much exactly. Then of course, I haven't really played with the reaver yet..
yea i know skin looks dark. Probert the probe got a reaver model in there its kind of cool should check it out. It uses the immortal but the model is a reaver. I don't why save time I guess.
Nah, I spent a good 3-4 hours last night experimenting and texturing the reaver. The youtube one is the old texture. Just wait a few days, and you can play with the shiny reaver yourself =D
As a disclaimer before this gets released in the near future: I'm quite aware the tail sinks into the ground during the walk animation. Fixing it by adding more keyframes to prevent SC2 from extrapolating wrong breaks animations entirely. >:(
All the other anims are fine though, not like anyone CONSTANTLY stares at the tail of a reaver anyways.....
As of me not being able to sleep, we have a wireframe. Sounds can be done by ripping it off sc1. Or I can start gargling into my mic... As for the potrait, I like what Maverck did, he scaled up the probe portrait so that it looks like a giant nose that our model has.
As for the releasing of these officially in the editor... My bet is on the Protoss expansion. We saw a lot of old returning Terran units in single player, which were available in the editor. Zerg has a few, like scourge and the lurker, but I bet we'll see defilers too when HotS releases. Protoss also have Scouts in the editor, and I bet we'll see reavers, dark archons, corsairs, and arbiters when that expansion comes out.

As for Probert, I did see that reaver, was not impressed.
Just wait till it's in the actual sc2 engine. The skins will shine like no tomorrow..

I think it's got to do with the ik chain...?? something is whippinh the tail part into the ground??
So lets sum up...
We have icons for the reaver and the scarab.
We have the model
We have the skin
We have the animations
And soon we will have the unit, the sounds can be taken from Sc1
So two things remains.. A wireframe, and a portrait.
As far as I know we never saw an official portrait and if i recall correctly most Protoss had the same portrait back then anyway.
Colossus portrait looks more like a reaver imo anyways
