Press M, there you'll see materials, some of them are black, and "missing". At least if it's the version of max you haev only art tools installed for. If there are materials of m3 exporter, just remake them.
In common case, you can create a new material and define it.
First, press this button:
Pick the SC2 Standard Material:
Click on each of diffuse, normal and specular maps, and pick the xxx_diffuse.dds, xxx_normal.dds and xxx_specular.dds textures for them, where xxx is unit name.
So I tried again =), the file named test, is the old file you looked at and now I can see the unit in the starcraft 2 editor...until I saved the map in order to
save the imported file....then it stoped showing..
So I did all from scratch (Newone1) =) but that shows nothing at all in the editor...
I know you surley geting tired of me at this point =) but if you have time, perhaps you could look at the files? ^^
You need to create a new material, and configure it, than it will be visible after preview/export via art tools.
Btw, since it's like 5th time I'm explaining this to someone, I wrote this.
Gaaa, I could not figure it out even with your help.
I have to litle experience with 3ds max. But thanks anyways for the help and you time.
Cmon, don't give up, it's easy.
