Wow I've been looking at all these models and I'm super impressed! I would love to use some of them in the map I started making. If you release the nyan cat rainbow and that gun laser to the public tell me because they are so cool and I would use them in my map. :)
Oh my gosh! I love ice/snow and things related to them, this icy effect is simply one of my most fave effects so far and better than any Blizzard made effect!
Next should come: LOL cannon coming from Nexus replacing Photo Overcharge's ribbon into LOL letters shooting at enemy like this I blueish letters as toss has blue energy/flame... can you make it? Just kidding .. (or not)
Hi! You have some really neat stuff here. I have only worked with the Sins of a Solar Empire particle editor myself, but I used 3ds max to create FumeFX textures to use for animated sheets in those particles. Sins particles do not support simple stuff like child particles, they are very archaic even by warcraft 3 standards. Still, I was able to make a few neat things using a lot of custom texture resources. Here is an example.
This is a very simple system in Sins, it only uses like 12 particles total - the animation comes entirely from animated sheets.
The reason I bring this up is because a partner and I are considering attempting a private project in Starcraft 2. I would like to pick up the Star Tools particle editor and transition my resources to it. I have a few questions I'd like to ask you.
1 - What limit is there on frames for texture animations? In sins it is like 20, warcraft 3 seems to support 64.
2 - What limit is there on texture size for particles? I would use 4kx4k if I could.
3 - Are your models for that helicopter, the tank, hummer, F-22, that fantasy russian fighter, etc. public domain or part of some unreleased project?
4 - In this post you said you were going to post some of your partner's work but I guess things happened and you didn't get around to it. Is there any way I could look at the source for those cool spells and such?
5 - The mediafire link for one of your maps http://www.sc2mapster.com/maps/castleulrezaj/ is broken, but I couldn't find a download link on the Chinese sites (I can't read Chinese :( ), and mapster still 404's the link. Is there another place I can download it from?
Thank you for posting the max files and models you have posted thus far. If I do start my project, they will be a valuable resource in getting up to speed.
Hi IskatuMesk, nice explosion effect, it's nice to know that you made effects with fumeFX, it should be very helpful to achieve excellent fire effects. I can learn a lot from your skills.
In your reply you have mentioned some questions, and I am glad to show some of my experiences and opinions, hope that can help you.
1 - What limit is there on frames for texture animations? In sins it is like 20, warcraft 3 seems to support 64.
In SC2 there are some flipbook animations contain frame textures like 16x8 and that might be the biggest flipbook I have found in SC2, most of them are 4x8 or 8x8.
2 - What limit is there on texture size for particles? I would use 4kx4k if I could.
Since blizzard used DDS DXT5 (alpha add) as the standard texture version, so most of the textures need to be 1024x1024, 2048x2048 and so on, the 4096x4096 bitmaps should work as well, only some time using a huge bitmap as the normal map may causes program crush. most time 2048x2048 is fine.
3 - Are your models for that helicopter, the tank, hummer, F-22, that fantasy russian fighter, etc. public domain or part of some unreleased project?
Yea, I made all these models, the russian fighter is a skeuomorph from a nice model on the internet. These models won't be released until my partner and I finish the project and make sure the models all work well. But I am very glad to send them to you if you need.
4 - In this post you said you were going to post some of your partner's work but I guess things happened and you didn't get around to it. Is there any way I could look at the source for those cool spells and such?
Bad news is that my partner usually doesn't speak English, so all her previews and maps are released in Chinese forums and online chat tools (likes qq international).

It seems the download link is overtime, I will upload the files once more.
http://www.sendspace.com/file/x8h35e OK, this link should work.
Hope you will like it and welcome to the world of SC2 models.
Yes, I would like to have a look at those models if you don't mind. I've been digging around for some models I could convert of similar vehicles but have been unsuccessful so far.
I am willing to share with you the frames for a large number of my fumefx animations if you think it would be of any use to you. I use a photoshop document to place them into a 4x4 texture to build a 16 frame sheet (that was the standard I was using for Sins of a Solar Empire). For Starcraft 2, I would consider rendering animations with more frames should my tests show that they work correctly. I then use xnview to resize the frameset downwards to whatever desired resolution (the sheets in that video are using 1024x1024 I think), for a big animation in starcraft 2 like a very large explosion I think it would be neat to try a full size sheet and see how well the texture detail shows ingame.
I don't know how useful some of them will be, but I think several would translate very well into a starcraft 2 particle system, seeing as most Terran explosions for example use the same animated texture.
Thanks! That's very nice to have these flipbook textures. And one more thing, the Star tools has a small tool which can make 4x4 or 8x8 flipbooks itself, you only need to get a group of pictures and the script can do the rest of the job.
Thanks, these aircraft and ship models are made for an in game cut scene, Nanakey and I have a plan to copy some elements from COD 11.
Could you add me on skype (ID: DelphiniumKey) so that I can send some of my files as I promised.
Another ice magic effect. I was trying to do some effects for stun skills.

Cool lightning, too.
Here is a new effect, I guess you will think it's fun (when it is over your enemy's head.)
Hi everyone, these days I have made many more models but just didn't get enough time to export them it to m3 files. Here are some early previews.
Very nice. I like the F-35.
