Currently I'm remaking the old Battlecruiser concept of Blizzard which featured two versions of the Battlecruiser depending on the weapon choice. Now, in the Galaxy Editor with the Campaign dependency enabled there is indeed a model called BattlecruiserPlasma.m3, but the turrets in the front seem to have no textures. Is there a way to fix this? If yes, how? I have only little knowledge about models and textures, so is this a difficult thing to do or can it easily be done by an experienced modeler?
Looks like there are attachment points for each of the weapons. A lazy way would just be to stick another model on each of those points using ModelAddition actors to cover up the untextured parts.
You can also try finding out what texture is supposed to be there (by opening the .m3 file in notepad maybe) and then create that texture (or copy another texture and give it the right name) and import it into your map/mod so the model will find it.
I have found the names of the missing Textures. They are called BC_Plasma_turret.dds and BC_RED_turret.dds. They are not in the data assets of the Editor (with all depencandies enabled). What a shame...
Theres a "Texture Select By ID" tutorial here on mapster, use that to try and change the texture, or just import some textures with those names to the correct locations.

I've attached a BC_Plasma_turret.dds so you can use that one, I know it probably isn't anywhere as good as blizz's texture but it'll solve your problem if you want to use it.
Along the process of making it I also discovered many variations of the BC I've never seen before like the loki one.

Hi, sorry for the necro but which slot should i be using? i've tried using main, head, decal, and generic01 keep getting this message, 00:00:00.00 USER: [ 53 1] CActorUnit[BattlecruiserP] No mapping for slot main.diffuse.
any chance someone has a map with the fix so i can see where i'm doing it wrong?

You should upload this to Assets. It is quite a useful addition, to have another ship. Especially for those maps which focus on space battles.
I can personally see myself using it in the future, and would rather not hunt for this thread.
Just wanted to point out, that the Texture Select by ID for the Plasma Battlecruiser works just fine.
This image uses the standard Battlecruiser textures for the cannons. Other textures might fit better.

Can someone please make a version without those mini cannons? Because its 100% like Starcraft 1 Battlecruiser, and I need that for some campaigns
