I think Autodesk Maya works too. There's a YouTube video my brother showed me of a "Tyrant vs Ultralisk" and the Tyrant was created in Maya then exported to SC2 Editor fully loaded with texturing, FK rigging, and animations.
The video is pretty old, so check the file types supported by the Editor and Maya. If I'm not mistaken all Autodesk 3D products can save in the same formats, so Max should definitely work (if you can find it).
Hello, I'd like to add an emissive slot to a custom model, but I can't find how to open it in Blender. The plugin that I have tried doesn't work.
Blender is no longer supported ( hell it was never really supported) you will need Max 2011 for this

How does one obtain 3DS Max 2011? It isn't available on Autodesk's website, whereelse is it being sold?

PrintIn's plugin for Blender requires a specific version of Blender, and some LotV models aren not supported yet.
