5 years ago, I made a SC2 mod where I imported some m3 with their textures to the mod file. Back then, I had the usual problem how to import the files correctly so that the models actually show textures in the editor. Ultimately, I succeeded.
A few days ago, I wanted to edit the mod again. I opened the editor and noticed that all the custom models from WoW, which I haven't touched for years, are shown without textures.
I looked desperately for an explanation... and I assumed it can only have something to do with some sc2 patch.
Is there any (easy) way to restore the model textures?
Also: I tried using 3ds max 2011 together with m3 importer and exporter as well as art tools, and nothing worked. I wanted to try the solution with "Commit", but the models don't even have textures in 3ds max. The newest importer (v2.2) didn't actually work at all, so I tried the one from v1.7 and the model was loaded without textures. I placed then nearly everywhere on my hard drive (3ds max maps folder, import folder, textures folder, ...). When I tried exporting the not texturized model, I got a 20kb m3 file that didn't show anything (not even the model itself) in the editor.
I am kind of desperate right now. Everything was working well and now I simply can't get the models to working again. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I had a similar problem but using commit right into a .mod correct my situation.
(Note: i am using diablo3 model and not wow model)
Commit leads in my case to an "empty" or invisible (idk) model file of about 20kb. After importing via m3 importer v1.7, there's no material whatsoever to be seen... and this affects all the models I have.

1. Only use Art Tools, m3 exporter is obsolete.
2. Follow this:
