I am working on texture, finishing it. Its animated and everything. Will be releasing this soon.
Tho I can see it ingame since I patched to last version. And my editor wont start :P .
Got few turret models, that are waiting, and one more mech model that is untextured but has all basic animations.
It looks front heavy coz its not standing. Its in Bind pose. Or rigg pose.
I will improve texture (there are no texture edges, just placed bald texture on parts.)... But it wont be much better since I am not that good with drawing. I am UVW and everything, but drawing and texturing isnt my best side xD .
Later on, when I release it, someone will be able to do their own texture.
I'm available aswel, I have zero modding experience in any sort of games, but I've got an education in 3D an honestly need something to put my teeth into, just pm me and I'll see if I can help.
Experience is 3Ds Max, Zbrush, Photoshop and a crash course in After Effects
My animations are biped based.
I mix them in motionflow and export them out as bones once they're done.
I find it's easier to manage and this way I continuously build on a .bip animations library.
I'm also interested in setting a website for a pool of user-created SC2 models and .bip animations.
I have been using 3ds max for almost 8 years now, but never took any classes (so my methods are bizarre and unorthodox). im also not that amazing with modeling, but i know my way around when i really want to.
ok thx, oh and is it possible to assign a texture ingame/ineditor to the model?
I've created some mountains and want to be flexible with the tile sets.
EDIT: Ok so I can import my mountain .obj into blender but how can i export it as a .m3? I've found a script here at sc2mapster to import .m3 into blender but how can I export a .m3?
I'm in the learning and relearning process as well. Just updated my version as the one I was previously using was very outdated. Last time I did model editing was back when Freedom Force was popular, but I did a couple model edits in that community.
Would def love to bounce techniques around and contribute my own when I learn them.
This sounds cool, I'm joining in! Hey everyone, I'm GrowdanBowl and I'm learning Blender at the moment, have gotten quite the hang of modeling but not texturing or animations, it's on my to-do-list though!

Robots I guess. Meches actually. I already made model, updating rigg constantly. But we are struggling with camera and movement.

@tigerija: Go
That mech looks a bit front-heavy, like it's about to topple over. Change that and add some more detailed texturing and it might not look too bad.

I'll just ask it here: Do you know how to export 3D models out of cinema 4d and import them to starcraft2?
No charakters I've created some environment and is it possible to texture it in the editor after importing?
@glomby: Go
Export the models as an .OBJ file from Cinema 4D to blender/max and from there then export the model as an M3-file
@ElGabster: Go
