I used the texture ( 4x4 flame strip) from the original fire elemental, and added a SC2BlizParticle object in max to the model.
Played with the properties of the SC2BlizParticle object in Max and that was it...
Panda looks good but the regular armor looks slightly funny. Upper plates look a bit big and the lower ones look very narrow and not curving around the arm enough.
poor excuse seems to me :P As WoW models are made for first person view and u trying to use them in RTS where it have to remodelled for viewing reasons. But I think DevilMayCry have in mind that Peasant with Zeratul armor?

yes now that I re-read it you are right, but it was just a quick test, I removed them from Zeratul and quickly added them to my model. I didn't even close the mesh up, it was just to see if it would work ingame, so nothing final here..
The purpose of the Regular is to release him without armor and/or weapons, and let anyone have a go on him, so you can add whatever you want and have him whatever weapon you want, and even add animations to it, change texture, add particles.. what have you...
Therefor when he is finished I will put him up for download in m3 and max format.
Thnx Zolden, it is a tirck I picked after we had that discussion on making normals.
It is actually done in Max, by using the Bump property of a material, apply that to a plain, than added some lights to the scene and voila, works almost every time and is done in a few seconds :)
Since ppl have problems with downloading the assets I put these two files up for download, hope this, at least works.

Wel I didn't do anything on the model, I just exported it from WoW model viewer, so model complaints you need to talk to Blizzard for that :)
