Hey there, I haven't found anything on this so I'll just ask here^^
What I want:
A Supply Depot that already starts burning down at the start of the game. I don't care wether it has 1/3 of the starting life (which triggers burning) or it has full life but starts burning anyway.
I tried it with giving it only 1/3 of the starting hitpoints and it actually works ingame, the problem I still have however ist that no flames are being displayed. I've searched through everything to see if I can find a whole or something but I'm actually pretty bad with data so I could't find a solution.
For the alternative I actually have no idea what to do. I can't find a value where it says from when it will start burning.
Would be awesome if anyone here could give me a hint^^
I uploaded the file for the case that someone wants to have a look :)
1) Go into data and find the supply depot unit
2) Go down to it's behavior's and click "Terran - Structure burnout"
3) Find what is listed under "Behavior - Validators (Disable)"... this would be "(Terran Building Burn Down (Fire))"
4) Now open Validators & find the validator we just looked up
5) Duplicate ONLY this Validator & Rename it "Supply Depot Burn" & press suggest underneath it
5) In our new validator double click where you see "(Life < 1/3"... etc to the right of "Validator - Combines"
6) Remove the "Life < 1/3 HP" by clicking the red X
7) Go back to the "Terran - Structure burnout" behavior in the Behaviors tab
8 ) Duplicate ONLY this behavior & Rename it "Supply Depot BURN" then hit suggest as before.
9) On the right of this behavior double click "Terran Building Burn Down (Fire))" & change the value to "Supply depot Burn"
10) Open the Supply depot unit
11) On the right open its Behaviors +
12) Replace "Terran Structure burnout" with "Terran - Supply Depot BURN"
Now your supply depot is on fire forever, regardless of its HP... but omg... still no fire!! Let's fix that.
13) Open the actors tab
14) Find "TerranFlameSetFire (Unnamed)"
15) On the right, double click to the right of "Attachment - Attachment Query +"
16) Remove "AMFilterDamage"
O? If you need help I can remake the effect and put it in a map or teamviewer you if it really comes down to it. This makes all supply depots on your map burn o.o
You can remove the damage if you want. This doesn't affect all Terran Buildings tho, only sup. depots.
That'd suck if all the depots would burn :D
I created a particular depot that I wanna place on the map that will burn down, however it's gonna be a melee map so normal depots build by the players shouldn't start burning :D
LoSB = Line of Sight Blocker
But I'm pretty sure that my plan is impossible to realize so never mind^^
You can duplicate the supply depot unit and differentiate it from the player-created supply depots. Then the burnout behaviour will only affect that type of supply depot.

If you want the fire always on then:
1) Go into data and find the supply depot unit

The fire again only starts when the Depot is at 1/3 but at least the fire shows up at all^^
I think this even helped me a little with my general understanding of the editor :)
Btw. when I'm already at it, does anyone know if it's possible to give a unit the ability to be a LoSB?

I wonder if I made a mistake between 1 and 12 because the rest is kinda idiotic proof :)

Hmm.. I followed iE4TM4PS's instructions but it didn't seem to display the flames. The supply depots steadily lose hp but there are no flames :(
How do you display the flames on a full health supply depot?
Actors. Check the TerranFlamesSmallBuilding (Unnamed) state monitor type actor.
Or just create the flames model actors under some other conditions.
