Hey, I was wondering if there was a way to make a ability that will spawn a unit with timed life on a selected enemy target that will permanently chase it around until it dies. If there is a way could you please help me. Thanks in advance!
You should take a look into the weapon of broodlords and how their broodling-spawn is handled. Probably with an "issue order" effect right after the "create unit" effect
Are you looking for something like the Zagara Hunter ability from Heroes of the Storm?
If that's the case, that would be an Effect (Target) ability with a Create Unit effect with an Issue Order as the spawn effect set to target the target of the ability.
Could also be made as a missile that hits the target and fires the Create Unit effect upon impact (To replicate the Broodlords attack without a hangar ability).

Actually the Hangar ability of the broodlord is just for unit creation the ammo units hurl themselves independently. The Mule is a better example.
