So if I want multiple MULEs or units to spawn with a calldown ability, all I have to do is change the Create Unit effect to change the number of spawned units, but if I do this it drops one droppod per unit. Like if I spawn 8 units it will drop 8 droppods with them. How can I change this so that I can drop 8 units with a single droppod (drop pod is scaled up obviously)?
The drop pod is part of the unit. I have never actually done this before, but I would assume that this would require some new create unit effects. Essentially the behavior creates a drop pod, and then the drop pod takes over. A behavior turns each drop pod into an actual unit, or at least I would assume. (Once again, haven't actually don't this before.) So instead of modifying the create unit for making drop pods, I would think you would need to modify how the morph or create unit effect works when that behavior or periodic expires, creating the actual unit.
The Calldown Mule (Create Persistent) effect is linked to the drop pod actor so you would need to try and put the create unit effect at the other end of it.
