You can add them through triggers but i guess that's not what you are looking for...?
The abilities/effects, when copied as you are copying/duplicating a building are not "finished".. or are half baked
..
You have to duplicate stuff on their own (like the warp gate ability to warp must be done properly and added to your "new" unit). This way the actor/effects/etc all work and are applied when using the ability through your unit.
Duping often does not copy stuff used by actor events.
Check the Macros since some protoss stuff like the powered/unpowered animation actor events are all in a list like macro that you need to add your duped stuff too.
I believe so, the duplicated stuff that can build units and research can do that fine, but when it's warped in it is completely invisible and inaudible until it is finished.
There are several Model actors for the construction stages of structures. I forget the exact name at the moment but there were about 5 that handle all the under construction visuals.

Attaching Protoss Warp in (and warp in sounds) to custom building
I made a bunch of custom structures but the warp in graphics and sounds aren't present how do I fix this (without re-copying things)?
