I would like to put some of the larger files like sounds and pictures that are making my map about 30mb instead of 10, which causes significantly more loading time. It was suggested to me that I put some sounds and pictures into a mod, so that people do not have to load them every time I publish an update. How would I go about this?
go to import editor, select all, export -> new folder. then go File - New - Mod - import editor - import from new folder (set the import path to new folder or you will have "new folder" in your imports), save as Mod in your mod folder (c:\program files\starcraft2\mods), close mod, add dependencies in your map, add your mod to the map, delete imports from map, test map. then upload mod to bnet and change dependencies to online version.

That worked perfectly! Thanks!
Size went from 30 MB to about 1.7!
