What could be the possible filter or process for photoshop to make wireframe images like blizzard did to zerg units?
I found it very hard to really achieve the same art style for zerg units by only add filters on their screenshots. Although protoss and terran unit's wireframes are way more easier to produce.
im trying to find a way that looks exactly like how blizzard's original wireframe looks. In case I did try what you mentioned there but never get a close result.
Yeah agreed, when we make a normal texture e.g with gimp there is like a formula how to make an orange normal map - i.e you always use the same values and methods, Would be good to have a known method for wireframe texture and decals as well... (Declas do use some scratches and stuff but that's kind of another topic)
@seraphlio: Go I think they use a special lighting or effect in order to take the screenshot. There is no filter that will give you the darker borders around separate carapaces like you see in blizzard's wireframes. In the models those aren't darker or in any way different from the areas they surround. I've been trying to make zerg wireframes but I think the only way is to manually paint over the screenshot before applying effects.

Any ideas?
I remove the color like I do for Protoss and Terran wireframe then add an orange tint and play with the saturation and lighting.
