I've been working on new images and find I can't upload them. I get the error:
unable to load image from 'C:\Users\chris\AppData\Local\Temp\StarCraftIITemp\Import/Desert Tankbattle_publishVersion 1.0.SC2Map\Icons\btn-DT-UI-OutpostAbandoned1.tga' (Core: a required object could not be found)
When I open a new map file, there is no problem w/ uploading images. Only in the game file do I have an issue.
Ok, I've been able to reproduce this bug, and it looks like some unknown sc2 editor bug. I managed to circumvent it by commiting the texture to a mod file via Art Tools. One more possible way is to import the file you need to be imported in the new document, then save it as components and add it to your published map.
thanks for that. If this works, that'll be awesome. Just to clarify, w/ the new doc, you are talking about merging the 2 files or is there another way to add it to the published map?
I believe there's a way to load components in a map, why else would there be a possibility to save map as a set of components? But I never added anything like this. So you have to try what works. Merge sounds like a possibility. If it work, report please, I'm curious.
1. was not able to add to the mod file. same error. please walk me thru this.
2. couldnt figure out how to add the components files to the map file. it appeared as though individual files in the components folder are supposed to be moved into the map folder, but map is only a file.
3. merging feature requires 3 files to be merged. I could not figure out a way to merge only two.
1. Save your map (or mod) as components.
2. Copy your assets to the appropriate folders inside that components folder. For example, put textures to Assets/Textures.
3. Open the map from that components folder, and save again as a map (or mod).
Actually, this issue seems to be fixed. Even though you still have that error message right after you import the texture, and texture won't be visible (small red/blue square instead), you only need to save the map, and the textures will appear like there was no errors.

I don't know what you are talking about, but I see "/" in the root, can it be the problem?
