Say I want to make a custom doodad for a cave. So say I make my form with 3DS Max or whatever, but then I need to texture it, using, say, the textures used on the rocks and stuff.
Yay! I made it work thanks to Tiger. It was a thing with the textures (they weren't set), I hadn't imported them totally in Max, don't remember how I did it the first time but i had to manually take each map and apply it.
Anyways, Now I need to figure out a way to make a simple animation (make it hover like an item). Ideas?
There is a script called m3 sequence that comes with the export/import tools. You can ad animations there. So you add an animation, tell it which frames belong to that animation and then make a normal keyframe animation in max.
Bro, I'm having problems. I used the m3 sequences thing to set up an animation, then i moved the keys around, all good. Then I exported it (made sure that export animation was checked), but when I import it in SC2, the animation won't show.

How do I do that?
I'm far from an expert myself, but I found this tutorial helpful for that purpose:
Thanks :D!
Ok, so here is my problem, it involves importing and texturing.
I want to make the marine shield a model by itself, sort of like an item, for this example.
In 3ds max, it already has its textures since I got them from the base assets. However, when I export the model onto SC2, it is textureless
Ideas?

Also, how do we animate for SC2? Do we use the max thingy?
