ZigZag TD
Zig-Zag Tower Defense
A multi-player tower defense map over a zig zag path. You have 20 lives and each time an enemy reaches the end you lose one. Lose them all and it's game over.
Features
- Supports up to 4 players (multi-player not yet tested)
- 20 levels of enemies including 2 boss levels.
- 8 towers. 11 upgraded towers. 10 research upgrades.
- 2 difficulty levels (Normal and Hard)
- Enemy kills gain you resources to build more towers. In multi-player everyone gains resources from killing so it doesn't matter who kills them.
Towers
- Missile Tower. Standard tower with very minor splash damage. Bonus damage to shields. Can be upgraded into EMP Missile Towers which only damage shields.
- Crystal Laser Tower. Does significantly more damage after focusing on a target for 3 or more seconds. Has bonus damage against massive units
- Dragon Tower. Flame splash damage tower. Does bonus damage to Light units.
- Scorpion Tower. Single target high damage but very short range. Bonus damage to biological units.
- Support Tower. Detects cloaked units and can be upgraded to towers which buff your other towers.
- Interceptor Tower. Launches 5 interceptors which do bonus damage to mechanical units. Very long range.
- Nuke Tower. Large area affect tower with huge damage. Needs to be manually fired, has a cooldown and needs energy.
- Temporal Tower. Slows enemies in a radius around itself.
Feedback wanted! Made lots of changes this version. Will go to version 1.0 soon once this version is balanced.

Just fixed the multiple research problem. Forgot I needed to add the silly requirements.
Well your practice with the 0.66 version meant that the 0.67 version is easier. You actually managed hard mode? I can't seem to watch the replays, if you could make one into a youtube video that would be great though :P
I still haven't tested it multiplayer so the balancing for that is still largely untested, I do plan to add extra spawns for multiplayer aswell as scaling more than just the health. Still waiting for the official publishing so I can try it on battle.net properly.

and there are four upgrades that can be researched more than once but the research effect isn't accounted for another time.
its tougher then before. i like the shield support tower thing, i rly hated those disrupter things from before, so annoying. i think i found a small bug, you can research the missile turret aoe upgrade more then once, idk if this was intentional but i just assumed it isnt.

another minor issue, there is a tiny bit of no build zone on the "middle" platform, on the right if you go dead center on the map

0.65 is possible to complete solo (on normal difficulty), though it took quite a few attempts. A nuke tower will help you get through the harder levels. Pretty sure hard is impossible at this point.
Some people have gotten close but I am adjusting things so it is possible but still challenging. In the next version I have changed the EMP missile to have an AoE effect, should at least help with the poor targeting and hit many of them at once.
I realize this is a "multiplayer" map, but since you cant play online with custom maps yet, its not a possibility. Has anyone beat this alone?
I've played this well over 15 times now and can't see how it's possible to win. The shielded mobs are just too hard and there are too many of them, the new EMP upgrade on the missile tower provides little or no additional help. As far as I can see it is only damaging the one mob it targets when EMP should really be damaging all the shielded ones around it.
I have no idea if I can make them shoot the most appropriate units. Well I am sure its possible but not sure its something I can do if it involves the AI. I can set the priority of each unit but that is global for all towers.
The targeting AI for the EMP towers makes me sad. It seems to value almost every unit over immortals and stalkers >.>
The damage reduction bubble is coming soon aswell :P I might reduce the range on the disruptor tower or have less of them but it tries to encourage you to spread towers out more in general. Maybe add a tower that makes other towers immune to it.
Just played it for the first time. Lost at the (first?) boss level with the boss at only 1k hp left. Anyway it's kinda late in here and I'll test it more tomorrow. Great map so far!
Fun map but can't get past lvl 17 atm. The rest of the waves seem pretty balanced but the mass disruptors are too powerful. The huge aoe stun isnt a fun mechanic at all, perhaps give them the sentry damage reduction bubble instead.
love the map, my favorite td right now and you have done a good job balancing things in recent releases. The one thing i want to point you to is that the support/command tower is not flagged as invulnerable so i keep destroying it when i play around with the nuke tower =D Nothing major obviously but thought id let you know
By using the tower upgrade that doesn't exist yet :P
