This is a 4X strategy game taking place in a randomized part of space. You will be able to research, take, kill, and ultimately win if you are smart.
You'll start out by choosing a race embarking with a colony ship and trying to find a suitable planet for your empire to expand from. Then you'll research your first ship and defend against invasions from other players, or invade them.
There are four types of resources: Credits, Metal, Water, and Crystal. Credits are galaxy-wide. The other three are on a per planet basis, and will need to be transported to other planets for resource management.
Research will be done by choosing a part type for Hull, Shields, Power Core, Weapons, and Engines, and then putting in budgets and setting what you want to focus on with your budget via four sliders for Effectiveness, Efficiency, Credit Cost, and Resource Cost.
Lastly there will be surface invasions, in which you will have to research a special hull type to do, which will increase the cost of the ship quite a bit. To capture planets you will need to launch surface invasions, so this is rather important.
l'm actively working on this quite a bit. l'll begin to go more indepth with races, but currently they have a long ways to go. The research is the main focus that l'm working on, and next to that is planets/surface invasion mechanics.
