You jump in the battlefield being asked which Squad you want, either Terran,Zerg or Protoss. Depending on the game mode (Team DeathMatch, Planet Control or King of the Hill) choosen by players by a vote in the Lobby, you have to kill others, defend your fortress while destroying the others or capture the point in the middle of the map to gain points over time.

While battling with others, you win money that you can use to buy upgrades for your troops or bring new troops in the battle to help you and yout teammates to annihilate your enemies.
