knockback zealot demo
if... somebody want, i'll try to explain mechanizm of these with my very veryveryvery short english..
Added Siege tank with ground attack.
sadly, i failed to link with attack cooldown and autocast to target location... (bucuz i made this to skill..)
nevertheless, u can see zealot can evade siege attack with moving.
let me refine these with ur ideas
Thank u for concern.. but i have no interesting in such a cinematic.. not only making but seeing them.. if u can, make it and win a tropy!
You should make a movie for that cinematic contest.
Settings: dark rain swept alley.
A lone zealot stalks through the shadows. Suddenly he is surrounded by a band of thugs (marines and marauders) They gesture at him with their weapons, clearly with the intent to kill.
Before they fire, the zealot explodes into action. With his kung fu (tae kwon do for you being Korean I guess) moves he attacks, and the camera view snaps from marine to marine to marauder, showing them being sliced to ribbons and flung all around the darkened ally.
As the bodies lay under the pouring rain, the zealot continues his lonely walk, disappearing into the shadows.
How cool would that be, seriously?
ha, knock back in bumper car will be a nice idea!
about models, i don't know anything sorry... but as u say we can attach model somthing like "Evade" or "Criticla!!" but maybe can't make numbering like war3 crit
and about knock back, i wan't to add validator something like [dmg != 0] but i'm still noob at datas so.. somebody has an idea i wish.
Bumper cars anyone?
I looked at the map, very nice. It's easy to see what fields you changed to produce these effects.
However a few things I did notice when testing it out:
Multishot for the phoenix seems to grant it a bonus range, additional shots were firing further than his normal weapon range. That was kinda weird, because you set the range and search area both at 4.
Zerglings get knocked back even if they 'evade' an attack. Maybe this can be disabled through use of validators?
Marines and zerglings don't give any indication when they do double damage or evade. To my knowledge, there's no way to have combat text like in warcraft 3, but perhaps it's possible to add a visual effect when these abilities activate?
It's a good start, and with refinement can be really amazing I think.
