First of all, huge thanks to Ultraling and Maverck for having done most of the work and making this campaign possible. Both of them were awesome about letting me use their stuff to put this thing together. These are originally Ultraling's maps, found here in sc2mapster. I picked them up a long time ago and slowly worked on them, editing terrain, adding all kinds of flavor here and there, including Maverck's Brood War mod, and this is the result.
Features
- all 10 original missions + the tutorial
- original SC1 units and structures with original stats, including custom models
- original SC1 Terran soundtrack
- all the dialogue, voice acting & other miscellaneous text from the original campaign
- classic unit decals, such as Alpha Squadron, Sons of Korhal etc.
"Artistic License"
(some notable differences from the original campaign)
- Medics - to balance out the units Brood War style, and to provide more options to the player
- extra "hero" abilities: Kerrigan has the snipe ability, Raynor can replenish Spider Mines
- Mission 4 "The Jacobs Installation" - third person mode (optional)
- two difficulty levels - with a somewhat more aggressive AI than in the original, in order to provide some challenge to the average player

How to play
- extract the mod file (SC1BWmod) to your "Mods" folder in your Starcraft 2 install directory (NOT the folder under "My Documents")
- extract the map pack to the "Maps" folder in your Starcraft 2 install directory (create the folder if it doesn't exist)
- extract the Campaign Launcher & setup to the same "Maps" folder (not the campaign folder)
Campaign Launcher installation:
- launch the Starcraft 2 editor
- open the setup map named SCMRsetup in your Maps folder and click the "test document" button on the top right (or press ctrl+F9)
- wait until the launcher loads and you're at the title screen, then save the game and exit the map (press esc or F10 to open the game menu)
- find the save file (named "Starcraft - Mass Recall" by default) in (your home/documents folder)/Starcraft II/Saves/VersusAI
- copy or move the save file to the saves folder under your account folder (your home/documents folder)/Starcraft II/Accounts/.../.../Saves/Multiplayer (for example; any of the save folders will do)
- Done! You can now log into the appropriate account and load the save from the load game-screen. You can use this save to play each episode.
more info:
- You can copy the save file to whatever accounts you want. For example, if you want to play offline, copy it to your guest account folder.
- If you're unsure of the right folders or can't find the Starcraft II documents folder, log into an account of your choice in SC2, go to the load game-screen, click on a save and click the "show in folder"-button. It will take you to the appropriate saves folder.

Nevermind i got it fixed :p
Hi i just got the mods and maps and all that installed, i am able to play just fine, the only problem i am having is with the sound. As far as i can tell its the unit sounds like when they are attacking, moving, or when i select the units there is no sound. any thoughts on how i can fix this?
topsecret:
You'll just have to very carefully consider each SCV.
DanyBoy:
D'oh!
I really don't know - a good chunk of the new Overmind is done, so I'd like to get that out of the way, but my mapmaking fuel goes primarily into ep. 6 right now.
Very good update ! I haven't found any new bug during my playthrough, but two that I had found last time are still present :
Great work once again ! What should we expect first, a new version of episode 2 or episode 6 ?
The only issue that really gets me is the fact that the esc key cannot be used to Cancel SCVs from Command Centers. Most everything else is solid, though, and I can't wait for Ep 6, before getting 2 & 3 enhanced :D
Mod v4.5 is out. I think it's safe to say we're pretty much done with the mod for a while. Also out, a minor update to Rebel Yell. The update contains cool new decals courtesy of Frankiealaplaaja, among other things.
Download links updated. For now, the mod and episode 1 are "done".
benoit & topsecret: I've a strong suspicion those are performance issues. I get that tiny bit of audio cutoff as well sometimes, I feel like this happens more after (Blizzard's) patch 1.5.
I think the delay you're talking about is the game loading up the speaker's portrait (there's no real delay scripted into the dialogue or anything). In some missions, the portraits should be preloaded. This used to be a bit of a problem for me as well, until I got a decent computer. :p
Continuing to play with the 4.5 update.
Previous issues that are still persisting: Cannot use the esc button to cancel SCVs on Command Centers with an add-on.
I personally think that the delay between character dialogue is a little bit too long. You hear someone talk, then you wait for a second or so for the response, and then you wait a little bit longer for the next line, and so forth.
I have not noticed any audio cutoffs.
In rebel yell i noticed some of the audio cuts off in some of the missions especialy when in the mission the big push around when duke is telling menks the psi emmiters are in place
MacPablo:
Excellent. You have my approval. You can add/remove files via the import module; if you're lucky, the Spanish sound files have the same file names so you only need to replace the English ones, using the same file path etc. (you might have to do it as follows: remove the English sounds - save - import the Spanish files - save again)
If not, you'll need to either rename the files to correspond with the English ones and replace them OR import them with different file names, go to the data editor - sounds and change the linked file in "sound assets".
Up to you to figure out the best way.
topsecret221:
Covert Ops is fixed in 4.5.
"Tutorial: Cannot click "Resume Campaign" button." - Erm... that's strange(?) *shrug*
Mission 3: Weeeeeeeellll... maybe, but it's the first mission with any real opposition, after all. I'm okay with it being somewhat forgiving - besides, 80 marines? That's just ugly. You gotta have style.
Magistrate737:
Yeah, that would be due to having Russian versions of the maps - I take it you got the English maps now.
I was attempting to play the Iron Fist today, after having already played the other four episodes in earlier versions, and I had already deleted the files. So I went back and downloaded the campaign launcher, the mod file, and the maps for the Iron Fist, and found that they wouldn't play because the mod wasn't working. After a while of running around troubleshooting and redownloading everything, I decided to download the mod file for the zerg and protoss campaigns in sc1, which is different from the other ones for some reason. Anyway, it started, but in the first cutscene you can here DuGalle and Stukov's English voices, but it's drowned out by a voiceover in Russian. I downloaded the file again to make sure that I had gotten the English version, and I had. I'm totally baffled, does anyone know how to fix any of my problems with this?
Out of desperation I downloaded the Russian version of the same mod file to see if they had accidentally switched it for some reason, but to no avail. It was the exact same as the English version. Help! D:
Playing through the campaign now, will comment on issues that may be had as they occur.
Tutorial: Cannot click "Resume Campaign" button.
Mission 03: The final zerg wave on hard is, in my opinion, too underwhelming. There should be enough zerg to destroy two separate groups of stimmed marines (around 30-40 in either group, with about 3-4 medics) My supply prior to the final mission was about 20 higher than by the end of it.
Stimpacks and Nitro Packs on the Covert Ops.
Cannot use the esc button to cancel SCVs on CCs with an add-on.
Hello, I have seen that there aren't a Spanish version, and I decided translate the mod by myself, text tips and messages are easy to translate, I extract the original texts from Starcraft and I copy it into the mod, but I don't know how change audio dialogue files. If someone help me, maybe someday and If the creators of the mod want it, there will be a Spanish version of the mod.
@zxc99765512dee: Go
This year, probably.
Is there an ETA for episode 6?
Frostwind:
You have an outdated mod, all of that is fixed in the latest (english) version. Unfortunately, the translated (non-english) versions aren't quite up to date.
CzNeutron:
We're on EU anyways, so if we would decide to publish any of this on battle.net at any point, the possibility is there. We have no such plans at the moment, though.
Mike:
That's the spirit!
@Mike956: Go
That was a joke, its actualy really easy if you have good economy :D
@CzNeutron: Go
))) No, I decided to become pro) spend about 1 hour for difficult missions, but no cheats)
@Mike956: Go
erase enemies in editor :D thats the only way
