First of all, huge thanks to Ultraling and Maverck for having done most of the work and making this campaign possible. Both of them were awesome about letting me use their stuff to put this thing together. These are originally Ultraling's maps, found here in sc2mapster. I picked them up a long time ago and slowly worked on them, editing terrain, adding all kinds of flavor here and there, including Maverck's Brood War mod, and this is the result.
Features
- all 10 original missions + the tutorial
- original SC1 units and structures with original stats, including custom models
- original SC1 Terran soundtrack
- all the dialogue, voice acting & other miscellaneous text from the original campaign
- classic unit decals, such as Alpha Squadron, Sons of Korhal etc.
"Artistic License"
(some notable differences from the original campaign)
- Medics - to balance out the units Brood War style, and to provide more options to the player
- extra "hero" abilities: Kerrigan has the snipe ability, Raynor can replenish Spider Mines
- Mission 4 "The Jacobs Installation" - third person mode (optional)
- two difficulty levels - with a somewhat more aggressive AI than in the original, in order to provide some challenge to the average player

How to play
- extract the mod file (SC1BWmod) to your "Mods" folder in your Starcraft 2 install directory (NOT the folder under "My Documents")
- extract the map pack to the "Maps" folder in your Starcraft 2 install directory (create the folder if it doesn't exist)
- extract the Campaign Launcher & setup to the same "Maps" folder (not the campaign folder)
Campaign Launcher installation:
- launch the Starcraft 2 editor
- open the setup map named SCMRsetup in your Maps folder and click the "test document" button on the top right (or press ctrl+F9)
- wait until the launcher loads and you're at the title screen, then save the game and exit the map (press esc or F10 to open the game menu)
- find the save file (named "Starcraft - Mass Recall" by default) in (your home/documents folder)/Starcraft II/Saves/VersusAI
- copy or move the save file to the saves folder under your account folder (your home/documents folder)/Starcraft II/Accounts/.../.../Saves/Multiplayer (for example; any of the save folders will do)
- Done! You can now log into the appropriate account and load the save from the load game-screen. You can use this save to play each episode.
more info:
- You can copy the save file to whatever accounts you want. For example, if you want to play offline, copy it to your guest account folder.
- If you're unsure of the right folders or can't find the Starcraft II documents folder, log into an account of your choice in SC2, go to the load game-screen, click on a save and click the "show in folder"-button. It will take you to the appropriate saves folder.

@CzNeutron: Go
Ignore it, it cant be published when using non blizzard mod
Could I upload this on EU server? Its really good, you'll get all the credits for it.
After downloading the "overmind" campaign and the mods to go with it my maps now work properly.
Thanks for the great help.
PS. FPS is awesome.
Hi, well i was playing these maps, i should say great work, but i found some bugs, if you haven't known already.
1. Siege Tank has 2 Siege upgrades on the Machine Shop, one that costs 100/100 and 100/150 2. The Machine shop Shows Pre-Igniter Upgrade, for hellions 3. Vulture Speed and Spider mine Upgrade do not show on machine shop. 4. Science Vessel Defense Matrix does not work, it says can't turn over unit or something like that. 5. Science Vessel EMP same as Defense matrix does not work, shows same can't turn over message. 6. Medic healing audio keeps sounding even if the medic is not healing anyone 7. Siege tank attack in siege mode audio sound attack does not work.
Thank you for your time, i hope you guys could fix this As soon as possible.

The message "dependency data could not be loaded" means that the mod file is not at the proper place. You have to put SC1mod in the Mods folder of your Starcraft II directory.
Note that the only way to open the "old" map with the launcher is to replace the "real" one with it, else, you have to open it with the editor.
@Telenil I think i downloaded the correct sc1mod, but am not certain. the file i downloaded is called SC1mod.SC2Mod. The error message has changed and now simply reads "unable to load game." Also when I open the maps in editor a message tells me that "dependency data could not be loaded" but I can "continue anyway."
I've attached a screenshot of file>dependencies
TY TY to everyone who has helped me.
@JumboMouse: Go
Do you still have the old sc1mod in your /Mods folder? If not, re-dowload it on one of the other pages. If it still doesn't work, open your "old" map, go to Files -> Dependencies and give me a screenshot of what you see.
@JumboMouse F10 to bring up the menu.
I'm probably stupid but there is one step in the "campaign launcher instillation" that I really do not understand: "save the game and exit the map." I test the document, and it runs the launcher just fine (I can click "rebel yell" and play missions) but then I do not see where the hell you save the game. The standard sc2 menu bar is not at the top of the screen until I start a mission. I need some clarification as to what and where exactly I am supposed to save.
Also: I spent a veeeerrry long time modifying the pre 1.5 "Jacobs instillation" map to make it harder, fight more units, and be able to fight protoss. Now I cannot play any of these maps. I test the document and get "this game makes reference to mod or map dependencies which are no longer available." Is there anything I can do (perhapse triggers to delete?) which will make these maps playable again?
I'm running it on cracked SC2 (campaign only version) and it doesn't work
Editor keeps saying an error that goes Mapinfo not loaded or something
And my testing the maps, I simply get a "can't open map" message
Is there a way to fix this?
Prehaps by supporting the developers and actualy buying the game
@DingoDyno69: Go
Yeh at the beginning of this I offered to make the maps for you guys (no triggers just the terrain), I started university and kinda fell off that. the first unused mission is three quarters of the way done if you guys want it, I might try to finish it... naw I've got other things to get finished first.
@Jones313 hopefully you guys can find a way to fix that, other then that everything else seems in order
@DingoDyno69: Go
Yeah okay, that works too.
@Jones313 okay so its not just me then, and the way i did it was i dragged the map to the editor and the editor opens up and shows you the map like so where u can tinker around with it, well hit the test document button on the editor and thats how i got them to play, from there everything else works fine, but for the longest i was cracking my head on how to by pass that permission error thing
@DingoDyno69: Go
Yeah, I'm getting these permission errors too after the patch, when trying to open the maps directly. I'm not sure what that's about. You should be able to launch the map from the editor, though? You know, File -> Open?
Or did you do it some other way? I'm curious.
thanks @Telenil i finally got them to work, though not how ur manual instructs but via another way and yes of course Queen of blades takes first priority i was just asking is all cuz i would really love to have those in there in Rebel Yell for lore reasons, other then that fantastic job guys :D keepem coming
@DingoDyno69: Go
Did you try playing the maps on Battle.net? If not, read the new Installation Guide to configure the files. If it still doesn't work, your computer might have put some Starcraft II files as "Read only".
We will probably add the deleted missionsat some point, but Queen of Blades comes first, obviously.
i also have another question for you Jones313, will you by adding the 2 unused secret missions in Rebel Yell? or are you planning on just leaving it at 10 missions only?
