@Jones313: Go Hey Jones313 I’m surprised anyone found my map amongst the thousands of uploads (or that anyone would like it, even a little). I upgraded the computer opponents with triggers that were on timers, most of the standard upgrades along with money injections, which you can checkout in the editor. I set one Hive to “NORMAL”, one to “HARD” and one to “VERY HARD” because the AI seemed to have different attack strategies at each level but you could always adjust this in the triggers for a harder or easier game or adjust the timers to make things happen sooner or later. I wanted a difficult game but not so hard as to discourage the initiate. The most time consuming thing was to reprogram all the story-mode tech in the data module so you can research it in the game just like any other tech. Feel free to use any thing you want after all they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I am currently a freelance pc tech (fancy way of saying I’m unemployed) and have lots of time if you want to know how I did all that stuff. I am available on hot mail with this same user name as you see here (all lower case). I check my mail several times a day and would love to conspire on a new SC2 project.
How did you like the Tassadar speech? Those sound bytes came from the first StarCraft; a secret map not accessible through the original campaign. The “Deprotect” tool decompiles all Blizzard campaigns (Warcraft, Starcraft) and is available on the web. Happy Hacking
You are the guy(s) who remade the first two campaigns of StarCraft. Aren’t you? I would love to help do the last one with you guy(s). I believe I could learn a thing or two.
Just gave this a try last night, actually took me 3 tries to beat, which is always fun! The Zerg attacks ended up being pretty intense, and that kind of surprised me. I was failing on my macro big time the first two attempts, and ended up with something like 6000 minerals. I also liked how the Zerg gradually upgraded/got stronger. Was that just upgrades or did you add some extra boost to the units?
The third time I managed to actually spend my money, and made sure to get a lot of upgrades early. My strategy was basically a random mix of Barracks units, Tanks, Chargelots and Stalkers, with a bunch of Turrets/Cannons near the left Xel'Naga Tower. It was pretty intense but once I managed to take out the middle Hive it was smooth sailing from there. Anyway I liked the intensity, nicely done! I almost feel like making something similar.
PS. "Rebel Yell" is just the name of the campaign. =P
