BattleCraft
Push spawned attackers toward the enemy side to destroy their life crystal while protecting your own. Pick the right units over your enemy to push through your enemy's attackers.

Things to do:

I'm remaking a classic from SC1 for SC2.
Recommended players: 2 [1v1] or 4 [2v2]
Some details:
- Buy attacker armies at the top left corner of the map. Each individual unit purchase creates an army of that unit. These units will automatically attack toward the enemy's life crystal.
- Buy defensive structures and heroes at your Life Crystal. In addition to minerals, these special units require vespene gas.
- Mineral count increases automatically. To fasten the pace of game as time goes by, income and vespene gas increases as you kill more units.
- For more convenient purchasing, hotkeys are initiated at the start for each player. [1-4] are for buying attacker armies while [w] is the life crystal.
- You can still play with/computers by adding AI for a player slot. The AI just makes random units so don't expect it to be any good.

@shamokee - force action with a zealot rush to open, or similar - and initiate with mid game combos that are well rounded or have predictable counters. Once you start the tug it wont stop as long as you keep gaining small advantages every pull. You dont have to turtle to win
@Zyrusticace - try DTs for Ultras, hardish counter and cheaper than Tonka Tanks. If he sends lings to go with it, you can easily move into MULE-HT and wipe it out for equal cost and have lots of HTs left over. annnd Your Thor Collosi is an easy trick: MULE-Roach-DT knocks it out and gives you a 300 mineral advantage.
Wish there was some way to prevent these stalemates.
Balance observations:
Ultralisks are too effective for their cost. Their power is comparable to... well, nothing else in their tier. Their hard counter, siege tanks, are useful only against armored or massive units and have no splash damage - and cost a full 100 minerals more. Same thing with immortals. Marauders are completely ineffective due to their low damage. (In fact, I give them the moniker "least used unit in the game (as it stands)"). Hydralisks would be the ideal counter if they weren't also useless against zergling screens.
Thors appear to be too powerful when combined with Collosi. They kill everything. Only real counter is... well, more Thors.
Battlecruisers kinda suck. They occupy no niche and are weak against every single form of anti-air.
My 2c~
Siege Tank shots don't count as High Damage attack in regards to Sentries. I understand the 10% ranged debuff, but the tanks shot still activate the DHybrid ability? Seems odd

Alright new version should be up that fixes most of the stuff. It's called "Battlecraft 2.1". Author is Tordecybombo.
v2.1 [Editor: 0.19.0(15976)]
Guess I'll fix the leaderboard later.
I can't figure out why the duplicated Hydralisk needle spines attack kept causing crashes upon killing certain units. So I just used a workaround by applying some permanent damage+ behavior for the Elite hydra.
Any Updates tordecybombo? Im itching to play Battlecraft again.
If you need any help getting the new values put in let me know and id be happy to give you a extra set of hands
That's a problem with how phase 2 messed up the object IDs and adding additional attributes like custom cost.
I didn't mean to publish this version but apparently someone else did before I can even publish. I'll publish under "BattleCraft Armageddon" when I finish fixing this map for phase 2.
game is buged u need gaz where u shouldn't like : bane ling cost 25 gaz and 125 minerals
best map ever. period.
tordecybombo:
Love the map. . . Just some suggestions I'd want to pass on:
I think people really want the game to last longer than one round and I could see either a 3 Game Round Robin style or a Best of 3 straight up Team Match.
I'd also make it so that Turrets are locked until any Player reaches an income of 15; likewise lock out the building of elite units until any Player reaches an income of 20.
Also some general Balance Issues:
Lowering the cost of Armageddon Slightly and making it a defense only skill might also be a good idea. I've been seeing a lot of complaints about it's use once the game turns into a 2v1 and it's obvious why. . .
Thanks.
Although I don't think it should have gotten the popularity it deserved (not top at least, wouldn't mind second-twelth though). That's due to the flawed popularity system that favors short games like this map. There are much better designed maps I've seen that I would have loved seen as top more often.
If blizzard doesn't revamp the way popularity works, I'll add a round based format option (best-of-1/3/5/7) to hopefully lengthen the games played.
I think defensive hybrids are fine. They can't tank most more expensive units that deal high damage for each hit. It's your opponent's fault he wasn't aggressive enough to force you to spend money anyway.
Congrats, your map was at the top of the BNet custom games list for almost the entire custom game portion of the beta :)
BTW I think defensive hybrids are a bit OP, I usually just saved up for a bit then sent 1 group of them and one group of assassins and that usually won it for me.
Not sure if people like the aggressive timer system. It really only affects early game and discourages people to go straight for elite units anyway. I think it does its job of getting people to make units to jumpstart the game.
Think I just need to make it more noticable like putting timer bars on the top left.
v2.0 (SC2 version 0.17.0.15623)
I'm cool with spin-offs. The more variety of these types of maps, the better imo. It's hard to please everyone.
I have nothing to do with the development of the map so I don't personally mind spin-offs ^^ It's up to tordecybombo to decide stuff like that.
Only thing I dislike is when people upload maps passing them off as the official deal while having modified them after their personal preference. Or even worse, upload old or flawed versions and passing them off as the newest ones.
FuckYou is a gold example of that as it's not only BattleCraft but also other maps here on sc2mapster that he uploads as "official" versions.
Hopefully can get one last update (version 2.0) before this phase of beta ends.
Gameplay and balance is gonna be a bit different since there's new units and gameplay changes that penalize non-aggressive players (only early game though).
