BattleCraft
Push spawned attackers toward the enemy side to destroy their life crystal while protecting your own. Pick the right units over your enemy to push through your enemy's attackers.

I'm remaking a classic from SC1 for SC2.
Recommended players: 2 [1v1] or 4 [2v2]
Some details:
- Buy attacker armies at the top left corner of the map. Each individual unit purchase creates an army of that unit. These units will automatically attack toward the enemy's life crystal.
- Buy defensive structures and heroes at your Life Crystal. In addition to minerals, these special units require vespene gas.
- Mineral count increases automatically. To fasten the pace of game as time goes by, income and vespene gas increases as you kill more units.
- For more convenient purchasing, hotkeys are initiated at the start for each player. [1-4] are for buying attacker armies while [w] is the life crystal.
- You can still play with/computers by adding AI for a player slot. The AI just makes random units so don't expect it to be any good.

Hopefully Blizzard fixes this party system. Still love soloing this game but teaming up with a friend just is not possible anymore. One idea to those interested just start games against computers should bump this game up a few pages.

Map is too massive, I see lag being an issue as well as games taking forever. My idea is maybe a map that isnt a Cross ie. + but more of an Ex like X. or Two XX with a line connecting the center of the two. When two pairs beat their side of the X they move on to helping their team mates. Probably need a significant income bonus when all your partners die to have close to a chance though.
Wyti. in your situation you simply got outplayed. I suggest being aggresive from the start even if it's 2 v 1 from the start. I had your situations as well but I prevented them when noticing what my opponents were doing.
HI i see there is still a 2000 minerals cap, don't know if this intended, but i was in a game who turn up 1vs2 from the start, and the 2 againt me didn't want to attack, i first should do something cause i hit 2000 before them (and thex crushed me instantly after that)
i11matic raises a good point. Because of the way Blizzard sorts the maps (by Popularity), the "Custom" version of the game is on the front page and the "Tug" version is nowhere to be found. I created one of the "Tug" versions, waited 10 minutes, and still no one had joined. The custom version doesn't allow for 2v2 settings (it seems to randomly choose teams) and that's what a lot of us are here to play for. Please make a note to clearly instruct people to choose the "Tug" version when creating the map. As i11matic suggested, a comment in the map info would be helpful.
Awesome update man! Very impressed. I like how you tried to buff mules, and im sad you removed the income boost for turtle mode.
Thanks for following up on my request to change the screenshot up there! ^
No complaints, every update was very needed that you added in. Thanks.
Edit: Actually, i hate the income boost after your ally dies. It feels like basically nothing.
There's still an income boost.
New update sucks, where's the income boost when your fail ally dies off? That's pretty important for trying to turn around and win a 2v1
nice work on the map. i love the quick changes.
yeah, this whole week ive been trying to join the 2v2 tug games but its hard. with this popularity sorting people arent join the games. maybe on the map info you can put it in all caps and in bold. JOIN TUG / 2v2 NOT CUSTOM / CUSTOM
just curious, when you update the map, does it just remove the version and replace it with the new version.
I suggest changing the collision radius. Not a good idea to let the mule become a really powerful offensive backup.
Edit: Thinking about it some more, changing the speed won't change much however this is an issue about defensive usefulness so the collision radius change is the one viable option here.
@Feremuntrus
Not sure if I can fix the pathing but I think that can be solved if I decrease the collision radius of the MULE or increase the speed of the MULE.
Not to mention the lobby will look like a 3v1 instead of a 2v2.
AND the game-start countdown will be a PAINFUL 30 seconds instead of the usual 23 seconds. Hey 23 seconds is a lot better than 30! I'd love to get it down to 3 seconds but 23 is the lowest I can get at the moment when the game is forced to autostart.
I got another comment. This is regarding the defensive infestor tactic which I love to do. When using infestors defensively I simply let them destroy my enemies while I constantly provide meat shields in the form of zerglings. I tried to use mules instead because their role is meant to be a meat shield but what annoyed me is that they were stuck behind the infestors and couldn't move themselves in front of the infestors.
With zerglings they're so fast that some get unstuck by themselves while some remain in behind the infestor.
If you could, try to improve the mule pathing so using them defensively can be effective.
I noticed a couple of people have told me that they have problems with trying to get their party member to teamup with them. That's a problem with people playing on the "Custom / Custom" mode.
Take a look at the warning message in the new pictures I uploaded in the description.
As you can see on the custom games list, the popular version is the one with "Custom / Custom" at the moment. The intended "Tug / 2v2" is the correctly working version but unfortunately it's all the way down on the custom games list since not many people know about this problem. I wish I could get the warning message working online but I can't seem to figure out a way yet.
I guess one way to fix this is to spread word so that people start playing the correct category/mode to get that one back up on the custom games list.
When you create a game instead of joining from the custom games list, it should it default at the correct modes. Tell people not to change it! It frustrates me that even when it defaults on the correct mode already, people still pick "Custom" on the category dropdown menu.
Glad I got feedback so quickly. Wanted to try something that would not make people always before wait until their opponent attacks (not as extreme as aggro mode). Response has been mainly negative so I changed it back for 2.3.5.
the thing is with this cap, even if i pull off some sweet counters it doesnt matter. In the end we'll have the same amount of minerals.
One of my play styles is just to be economical with my counters and then unleash on them when I think i have a major mineral advantage. That pretty much goes down the drain with this cap.
This is basically aggro mode. Who wants to sit there and get no money.
Why don't you switch the voting. Make aggro mode the default and have people vote for normal if they want to play that way.
I love this map, but this last release was a downgrade
Don't know when you just updated it but I saw the new mineral cap system on default settings. I don't really agree with this move and setting it 2000 again would be make it a lot more fun.
Just my opinion.
Great map but the mineral cap isn't the best of ideas. Most people I've come across liked how it was previously more. It'd be interesting if you put in more barracks in each corner and had 4 different race selections at the beginning. It'd make matchups more interesting.
Favorite things to Hear in Aggressive Matches: Where were my shadow mobs? Aggro Mobs won it for you. Non-Aggressive takes more skill because you have to have timing Aggressive mode is not fair.
Laugh moments: I love when people spawn a unit that you already countered and they keep spawning it as your counter gets closer to their base.
Or how about that guy that goes, You only won cause I Armageddon-ed. Seriously these people that are ignorant and cost themselves the game are the best.
Is it just me, or are the majority of people playing battlecraft not very good at it? I'm on a ridiculous win streak right now, so I figured I would make a simple guide:
General:
Defensive:
Offensive:
Don't:
I was mostly referring to the much more common scenario where your ally spams the wrong units and dies 2 minutes into the game (not leaves with his pylon still alive), at which point you're instantly steamrolled 2v1 as it's 20 income vs 10.
