The Antioch Chronicles: Remastered
What is this?
This is the first release of a StarCraft 2 remake of the seminal StarCraft custom campaign known as the Antioch Chronicles. This project is a high-fidelity reproduction of the original campaign with few enhancements taking advantage of the StarCraft 2 editor.
This version contains both episode 1 and 2 of the campaign. It uses the StarCraft: Mass Recall mod, which the creators were generous enough to allow us to use.
What is the Antioch Chronicles?
In 1998, not long after StarCraft was released, a mapmaker calling himself Auspex Turmalis (Ruben Moreno) released episode 1 of a custom campaign that he called The Antioch Chronicles. The campaign featured custom audio, perhaps most notable for how well Auspex reproduced the Protoss audio effects. Also impressive was the fact that Auspex recorded all of the character voices himself.
Episode 2 was released in 1999. For the second campaign, creative duties were split between Auspex and Zeus Legion (Eric Dieter), with additional voice support acting by Ytse-Jam (Juan Mantilla) and Macbeth (Eric Ladd). By the release of Episode 2, the Antioch Chronicles had gathered a large and active fan base.
Episode 3
Unfortunately, a promised Episode 3 was canceled. However, Team Antioch, with the support of the Original Creators, has released our own version, which you can download at https://www.sc2mapster.com/projects/thoughts-in-chaos . Still, the first two episodes did much to shape the early StarCraft modding community and remain in the popular conscious fifteen years later. Installation Instructions:
Download the mappack "Antioch Remastered 2.2" and the modfile "Thoughts in Chaos - Mod".
Create a "Maps" and "Mods" folder inside your main StarCraft II folder if they don't exist already.
Extract the contents of the two zipfiles into the "Maps" and "Mods" folders.
Note: Older versions of Antioch Remastered (v2.0 and lower) use the old modfile which is included in the mappack download. However it is unused in the newest version, and can be deleted.
Also, older versions require the modfiles from the Mass Recall campaign, which can be found here.
How to play:
Open the file "Antioch Campaign Launcher.SC2Map", which is located under "Maps->Antioch Remastered", in the editor.
Then, press the Test Document button (the StarCraft II logo at the top-right). Alternatively, use the shortcut Ctrl+F9 once the mapfile has finished loading in the editor.

Thanks
This project wouldn't be possible without the generous support of Auspex Turmalis, the Star Craft: Mass Recall team, the Custom Campaign Initiative, Jayborino, and the entire SC2Mapster community. Thank you.

Will this all be updated with Ep3 to use the latest MR mod version?

Once episode 3 is done, do you plan on doing some overhaul to the whole mod? Maybe some AI improvements would be nice because the AI is pretty generic and predictable.
Also, any idea when episode 3 will be done? I noticed there hasn't been any news for a few months now, I hope you guys haven't abandon it as I am very excited to play the last episode.
2.0 included a lot of changes by azureguy, and he did a great job. I doubt that we will be doing anything drastic as far as changes to it in the future. There will be a release of remastered when episode 3 comes out, but it's mostly minor changes and a change to our mod structure.
as for episode 3, we are still working on it. mainly we are waiting on voice actors at this point, though there is still a few other things being worked on as well, but once the voice acting is in and hooked up we will likely be doing a release of some kind. no idea when that will be though.
Zip file size is a but big for some online extractors. Maybe break it into two parts as an option?
Doubt this is going to happen tbh ... we had issues when we separated the mods/maps with people updating one and not the other and it causing 'bugs' that were not real bugs.
I'm curious about the need for this tbh. Prettty much every OS has native support for extracting zip files.
Yeah, we can't trust people with two zip files, sadly.

This has started happening to a few people suddenly. You have the most recent version of Mass Recall? Can you try installing 6.1 and see if that helps?

Small Issue I have installed the maps and they load, from the launcher map, but none of the triggers fire. It looks to me like they should but... I figured if I'm having this issue, others may as well.

Still moving forward.
Any news that the "Thoughts in Chaos" project continue sir?

Thanks! Will do.
In case you guys didn't know, the Mass Recall team has decided to take a break from Mass Recall for awhile, so we won't see any updates for a long time (if at all).
Also, the latest version is now 6.2.1, so maybe you can update the links/descriptions?

Yeah, you're missing the SCMRLocal mod. It's a separate download from their page. I see now that my directions aren't clear enough there.
