What best to create a good community than working on the same things! Here is the chance to dig into the endless possibilities of the Galaxy Editor.
What to do?
This contest is about clocks! You know those things that give the current time. There are plenty of different ways to do it. The goal of the contest is to pick one and use the best features of the editor to make it live!
It can either be 2D or 3D, using the terrain or units, any special effects you want ... The funniest and the most beautiful realisations will win! Even if you are not a pro at Galaxy Editor come and take your chance, it's open to everyone!
Here are some example of clocks that you may take inspiration from:

Good luck and happy mapping!
The goal of the contest is to see people making crazy things with the Galaxy Editor. The prizes are negligeable, so if you enter, it is for fun :)
I'm pretty sure people will make the different between great art and awesome technical stuff anyway.
I'd probably enter if I felt like the winner wasn't going to be instantly given to the guy who adds custom art. Functionality should be put above all else, art has a slight added bonus but nothing much. If some reassurance could be tossed out to make me feel like creating a full fledged clock with in-game art could hold its own against some overly graphical one then I might consider it just for fun.
But as if it would matter. Sounds fun and I have to look for a nice idea. :x
Who said it's impossible? :)
Wait umm.. you give a beta key for something impossible without a beta key? :D
E: Nevermind.. my mind doesn't seem to know thinks like giving a key away..
E2: Thought it's not allowed to use the editor without one. :P
You don't have to show up the real time, just show something that looks like time. For example you can at map initialization randomize a number from 00:00:00 to 23:59:59 and increase that counter to one every second (or millisecond) ...
The goal is to find fun ways to display time!
Id suggest setting the time ingame after the map starts up.
Should the clock be telling the actual time? Is that possible?
