Templar's Bounty by Hamstroman
Quote:About 3 years ago I started a project here on sc2mapster called “Turn based Combat game”, which was an attempt to create a game reminiscent of King’s bounty and the Heroes of Might and Magic series. About 2 years ago I released the first public version of the map, but at that point the only thing you could do was play against the AI in a preset battle scenario. Basically, it wasn’t much of a game, but more like a combat system demonstration.
Since then, progress has been very slow, and I constantly wanted to add more and more features before I felt the map was ready to be released. Nevertheless, I’ve finally ended up with something more than just a system demonstration (at least I like to think so), so I’ve decided to release the map.
Very cool! It would be awesome if you could release this in a library, so that other people could easily make turn-based maps on a hexagonal grid.
should make something like MTG: Tactics with that xp
Ohhh Heroes of Might and Magic 3... Brings back good old memories.
Imagine starting a Year of the Ultralisk and then having to move around the map... lol.
If you want to fill the hexagons with color you can put three neon light doodads in a "cross". Then adjust their width/length so that they fill up the space. This would be more subtle. Also you will get several colors by just changing these doodads variation :)
Really cool stuff! I just think that the markers on where each unit ccan move should not be animated, I think it pops to much.
you might want to add some terrain details and surroundings, else it does look really coool :D
