As promised the system for requesting a Beta key is in place.

We'll be getting keys out to people as soon as we can, and just a reminder you must be an active WoW author to receive one of these keys. We'll be manually verifying eligibility as well.
Note: if you see a message about and error when placing your order, please just try again.

Going forward, anyone who wants to sign up for a key must have a certain minimum threshold for the popularity of their addons in order to be approved. We'll be using the same metrics as we do for the rewards program for this, although you don't have to be signed up for the rewards program to be considered.
We are leaving it open to new users, however, by default you'll have to wait until your addon reaches the threshold of popularity before you're eligible. Also, at this point we're leaving the giveaway open to team members on addons, not just the manager.

Update to the update: It turns out that at least some US players are _also_ having the issue redeeming keys. I'm going to keep handing them out though as I've been told that they should work in the near future.

No update as of yet guys, I'm checking in pretty much every day.
Did blizzard still not give you guys more keys? any update on it?
Yeah, with the last update in the post, "Looks like the keys are working now. Enjoy the beta." I'm not sure how much anyone's going to be looking into it. I'm going to see if I can get a friend who works at Blizzard to sneak me into the beta, barring that I may just leave it be and wait for it to go live. Thanks for the response though.
@Tehtsara: Blizzard support was not told about the third-party addon/contest keys. I tried calling them before back when the new battle.net site came up and wasn't accepting the keys and they were like 'We don't give out keys, we flag accounts.' despite explaining to them that third-party sites get keys for contests and addon developers so you're likely going to have to wait until its fixed or perhaps Kaelten can contact Blizzard about it because the contacts we use to contact Blizzard do not know anything short of what their scripts tell them.
Blizzard says your email was a phishing attempt. No help there.
battle.net related errors is nothing we can fix. Contact Blizzard.

I'm not declining anyone who's an author of an addon, regardless of how popular it is. And as keys continue to be made available to us, I'll be issuing them out as I can.
Also since popularity changes overtime, it may just take time for your addon to have enough stats behind it before it meets the guidelines.

There is no "Pending", i meant "Placed" but had it mixed up in my mind, sorry for the confusion.
Placed can mean two things:
1) Your request has not been reviewed at all yet
2) It has been reviewed, but there are no keys to give out right now
Denied is obvious that your request was, well, denied.
Anyhow, last news i had was that we're waiting for more keys from Blizzard.
I believe Kaelten said that they won't be reviewing requests right now, and only start doing that again when they actually have keys to give out again.
@tazojin Yea, same here. It's been "Placed" since July 25th for me. Makes me wonder if it's even working correctly, because they mention "Pending" or "Denied". I'm guessing "Placed" means they haven't gotten around to checking your eligibility, "Pending" means you'll get a key? And "Denied" is pretty self-explanatory :P

My status doesn't even say 'pending' so I think you might already be in a more advanced setting than some of us. Comment #154 says that if your status is pending, then they have not gotten a key to you yet. I think 'pending' implies value in continuing to check.
Either way, checking is more than you can do on Battle.net Account management lottery.

Good news! After 18 days of "An error has occurred" I finally managed to activate the game.
Hey guys, sorry for no update recently, I've been out of town with some of the guys and we've been working on some pretty cool stuff for the near future.
That being said, we're waiting on more keys, and at that point I'll be reevaluating everyone's eligibility.
Try logging out and back in to your battle.net account to see if it solves your Beta Account not appearing there.

That's exactly what happened to me. I could reclaim the key successfully but nothing changed. Trying to reclaim the key again gives the error that it's already reclaimed.
Let's hope this will be resolved soon.
