regarding your earlier comments, no you cannot modify the UI with Lua, or with anything. All scripted interaction is disabled. Default UI is all there is right now.

If you're not eligible, your order gets denied. If its still in "Pending", you just haven't been given a key yet (or no-one has looked over the requests to filter out the not-eligible ones)

I understand what you are saying now, I must have misunderstood what you were saying in the original comment. I had been struggling to understand Goldpaw's comment, but now that is clear as well.

As for getting more information, I agree with you. More information would be great and I would be thrilled for blow by blow coverage... I imagine they are doing that it's just a really slow fight.

Well Goldpaw was replying to someone who said they have been waiting a week now, his reasoning seemed to be that the person probably wasn't eligible yet. I've been waiting a week and I was trying to explain that 74k downloads (and 1 year getting reward points) should be enough, compared to what other people with beta keys have. Just saying maybe the long wait for the other guy isn't because of eligibility, could just be no more keys yet.

I knew you couldn't do addons yet, that's why I said I'm not in a huge hurry to get one. Just would be nice to have a little info on the situation. The last update to the actual post was 4 days ago that says enjoy the beta. Doesn't really help the people still waiting :P

My best guess is that no keys have been given out in more than a week.

This post from three days ago state that the moderators have been asked to stop giving out keys until an issue can be resolved. I don't see anything since then indicating that has changed.

This post also points out that the number of downloads on your add-on is not the metric they are using, although I can't see how 74,000 downloads would not be an indicator of some other hidden metric being met.

Finally, I have confirmed with several other actually participating in the beta now and there is no access to add-on or even the ability to manipulate the UI currently in the game.

I'm really quite curious is anyone else that is having a problem experiencing the issue of the key already being claimed as most people seem to be experiencing the issue that they can add the key but the beta does not appear under their game management.

Has anyone else received this same error since the last batch of keys were sent out or am I alone in the dark here?

He might be eligible, just probably no beta keys yet. My order is still at 'Placed' for a week now, and in my opinion, I seem pretty eligible for it.

I have, I believe, successfully reclaimed the beta key but I see nothing that indicates I actually have a beta account. I have a European account. Are the keys only available for US accounts?

I found the answer several pages later. The exact threshold and it's mechanics are not being discussed, however indications seem to be that it isn't really unreasonable. Also indicated is that the number of downloads is not the specific method used to determine qualification but some other mechanic which is more accurate than the number of downloads.

What is the threshold? Has that been stated? I have 3300 total on my primary add-on with the majority of them being when 3.3 was released.

I have made a few new features available, but generally there isn't any reason for a player to upgrade for 3.3.3 or 3.3.5

Anyway, I am really excited about this opportunity since I can start working with the new interface. Does anyone know if the API is functioning? Even if I can't load my add-ons I can manipulate the UI manually with LUA.

I am not averted to manually entering code as I do it to test my add-ons all the time.

Redeemed my key. Doesn't appear anywhere on my list and there are no options to download the beta client in the 'download client' section. :(

Does placed mean waiting for the queue to recieve a key? because I've had placed for 7days so I'm not sure if I did something wrong with the order

Getting the same exact issue that others are getting I can only assume it's being worked on by Blizzard to get the issue resolved.

I'll wait to hear some good news I'm sure it will come along some time, Looks like it's the key length getting a 25 digit key battle.net requesting a 26 digit key. I recall someone else posted about it but I can't find it again.
