I've continued development of the mod now, hoping for a tentative release this year. If you want to join on discord for testing/feedback, you can find the lobby here: https://discord.gg/yBhmbc8JKC
Whew, it's been a while guys. I haven't forgotten VMOD! I've just taken over development of an MMO, so I haven't made much progress lately. I'm hoping to start making a little more progress with it on the weekends starting pretty soon!
Update: I'm still actively working on this mod, or more specifically the website for it. I'm mostly finished with back end design, and I'm starting work on the front end. Dynamic replay analysis is over 80% finished now, and I need replays for testing. If anyone wants to playtest with me, feel free to reach out in the thread or in PM's. Thanks!
I think I halfway removed it because of load times, but I can put it back and show you what it looks like in all its glory, if you like. What's your NA battletag?
I know it's been a while, but I'm still working on this. The website is nearly ready for alpha testing, so over the next few weeks I'll be looking for people interested in joining a small closed alpha, and playing a few matches. If this tickles the pickle, just respond to this thread and we can move forward.
Update: Still working on the website! It's going to be a big project, we're attempting things here that no other replay parsing website can do. Bear with me!
Small update: I haven't disappeared, I've just been working on the website, wiki, and youtube to get ready for release. During this point there won't be many new changes to the mod, but don't touch that dial! I'm on the back nine with this thing, just trying to wrap it up and get it out the door.
I've been editing them myself, but help is always appreciated. For now I'm focusing all my work on the wiki and website, the first few sets of skins will be in the first major patch post release. I mostly did this one to see if it were possible, and it is.
I went with this setup first because I'm a protoss main, green is my favorite color, and it was the smallest to start with as a tech demo. I don't really like the off-blue feel of some of the nerazim setups on here, but I think this one turned out pretty well.
I'm patching in the Nerazim skin pack now, it should be available by tomorrow if blizzard's search function doesn't bug out again. Just check your first pylon for the button, and enjoy!
Edit: The file paths tweaked out on me so there are a few bugs with the skin pack, but I'll be tackling them tomorrow.
Edit2: Had to revert to a week old version of the map, the skin pack exploded everything. I'll be attempting it again in a week or so, lol.

I can't wait to see what some of the other skin packs turn out like, but they're a long way off right now.

The Nerazim skin pack is definitely in now, and bug free as far as I can tell.

The fun part is that you get burrow as soon as the lair finishes.

That's how I get custom units and lotv units onto my free to play balance mod. It's a pain to do, but worth it for the players in the end.

If you import your model to your own dependency and set up the map in the arcade, start edition players can use it.
