Hello, are you looking to procedurally generate the terrain of maps? If so, I do not believe it is possible in any real way. I think some people have managed to pull off modifying terrain height but never, to my knowledge, to change the terrain itself. You may be able to get info by searching through this website--when SC2 modding was at its height I think this question came up a lot.
Other than that, there are standard randomization tools in the editor that you'd expect from a programming language. But you'd be creating whatever kind of procedural generation from scratch--there's nothing built-in to do that kind of stuff (from what I've seen).
Hey sc2mapster! I haven't been on this site in many, many years--it sure looks different.
Anyway, I have a new Arcade game to share: Mech Squad
This is a Twin-Stick-Shooter style game with mech theming. Tons of missions and upgrades along the way, and it supports up to 4 people at a time (cooperative gameplay). Enjoy!
(Special thanks to Wargirl for supplying the Terrain, and Moustro for his incredible custom soundtrack!)
