Hi I'm looking to create an ability that when cast from the unit, uses the sentry shield spell effect, and concurrent with the expansion of the shield, it will push every other unit away from the caster to the edge of the radius, and then this effect will remain on the character for the duration (no units can re-enter the area until the shield dies). I'm assuming to push the units away I'd need to do something with the offset in the effect perhaps, but I've no clue how i'd get them to remain pushed back.
Would appreciate help.
PS: The field will move with the character if it moves, and it isnt't channeled.
Is it possible to create this effect behind the path of a unit? Like say i wanted to make a 3x as large ultralisk and give it the effect of slightly indenting the ground wherever it walks (to simulate it's mass) would it be possible?
When a model has multiple states (such as baneling, it has spawning, walking regular, superior walk (which is baneling animation rolling as if it had speed upgrade) how do you go about selecting which one you want to use? I've looked everywhere, and unfortunately I don't understand the effects+ field too well yet, so I have no idea how to set it how i want.
To put it in context this is what i did:
I made an overseer with an ability to spawn a baneling and put it on the command card, then made a trigger to give an order to all banelings to automatically use explode, so it looks like the overseer is essentially bombing beneath it. However, the baneling currently "appears" below the overseer, and I want the baneling to drop first, using the rolling animation, and then explode once it lands (since I copied from the changeling effect I figured it'd work the same, but it doesnt).
I'd appreciate some help, I read somewhere on the sc2 beta forums I might have to make the ability a missile effect, and IDK if that means I'd have to restart it from scratch?
Hey I'm trying to create a custom building as a doodad, specifically what i did was copy the terran CC as a base and then took the korhal building actor and model (i want variation 2, and i think I set that proper but im not sure), and then i added a custom footprint to hug the building as much as possible.
However, it doesnt show up in the game or editor, and the little icon preview on the unit tab shows it as variation 1. At this point, im not even sure i got the footprints right... However I know the actor and model ARE linked properly, its just not showing up.
I could use some help with this :) Or even a point towards a tutorial. Thanks in advance.
