    Hey there,

    To start with id like to say I have been searching for the last hour to try and find something, if I missed an obvious post I'm sorry. I am getting very frustrated by this, but I will not quit!

    The annoying thing is, its very simple what I want to do too, I just don't know how. Here's an explanation of my map and what I want to happen. This post has 2 "issues" that I need help with, if someone could help even slightly it would be a great help.

    TL;DR: 1) I want to make the Path un-buildable but moveable by creeps. I want to make the rest of the map un-pathable, but buildable. 2) OR/AND I would like to use the waypoints with lots of creeps (100 or more) without them pushing each other off of the path so they stop moving to the waypoints (so they don't finish pathing).

    Full Version: I want to make the creeps follow the middle of the path (like way-points) but without the problem I explain below.

    My map is going to be a simple TD, but I am doing this without using cliffs as blocker for pathing.

    To start with I wanted the units to follow way-points, this was the first thing I tested as one of the main parts of a TD is having good moving creeps, otherwise it just looks and feels stupid. I wanted to test higher numbers as the idea was to have lots of units in 1 wave to make it feel really presured and not just a few really strong units. when I did it with way-points the units pushed each other out of the way, when the units got pushed out of the way they stopped pathing to the way-point and just stopped. If I sent a wave of say, 100 zerglings, only 10 would make it because the others would be pushed aside and stop following the points. Ontop of this they would push each other onto the section that is planned to build on.

    When this didn't work I figured I could just make it so they couldn't path on the side, and not use way-points so they had to walk around anyway. This was fine but they cut corners. Say I had a left then right then left, they would almost walk through the middle and it would look bad. The problem with this, is when I used the "Non pathable" on pathing, I was unable to build on that location, so I could not build towers where the path was not (meaning the map wouldn't work).

    So my idea now, is a combination of the 2, but I need help to get it to work. I want my units to path in the middle following waypoints but not spill over the side if they knock into each other.

    I am sorry about the wording, I'm trying to make as much sense as possible.
