The trigger on substring needs to be the name of the texture you want to replace. and you need a prefix. Double check your spelling since there is an embleme in there.
Just use a Key Pressed trigger event instead. There are trigger actions to force a specific hotkey profile, to set the hotkey for a specific dialog item and to identify the hotkey profile a player is using.
Is the unit to upgrade specified under the upgrade?
Check what animation names the unit has under the cutscene editor and then change the actor events on the Unit type actor to see that they match the animation names. Alternatively use a Passchance term to get it to use a random animation whose name you specified to play for that event.

Under the actor using the model use an Actor Creation actor event that uses a Set Tint Color action.

You had to merge into a curse account and then merge that into a twitch account. All PMs were lost and your name gets changed to the twitch name.
