Im trying to make a space ship game where part of the map is 'Planet side' and I want to restrict movement. Iv added in a bunch of cliffs where I want to tunnel movement but I cant stop the ships from simply flying over them.
Placing the 'No Fly Zone' markers will take way too long as half the map is planet side and a maze of cliffs, pluse they only seem to work if overlapping meaning ill literally need hunderes of them and even then not be 100% sure I covered all areas.
Ideally, someone knows of a 'maximum flight hight' I can set thats below the second tier of cliffs? Or a way of binding a no fly zone to a much larger, but defined area.
So it seems no matter what I am doing in Data, I can only Modify a Value once. If I then click to open Modify Value again, it ignores the request. The editor doesnt freeze, Im still able to click different units and expand/collapse fileds but it flat out refused to open a Modify Value window. I have to close the Data window and reopen it to try doing anything. It can be really really really taxing on both time, patiance and by ability to not listen to the little voices that says 'kill everything'
Is this a long standing bug that I just have to live (and possibly kill) with or is there a way to fix it?
Ta
After attempting to repair my command center with my ship 4 times, and accidentally Nuking my command center, 4 time, can you please change the hot keys of those two abilities so their not both 'N'? Thanks =D
This is the last thing I need before my game can go live (excited!)
I have a defeat condition set up for if a player looses their Hero unit, but I need a victory condition for when there is only 1 player left in the game. Ridiculously simple I know but I cant seem to work it....
Also, if anyone knows a way to give a defeated player observer privileges though would be great but its the above Im most concerned with atm =D

So Iv been working on a custom melee map for the last few days and it looks like I'm more or less ready to post it on here as an Alpha stage game, to get people to test balance and the over all concept etc. (I'm personally impressed with how quickly it came together thanks to the tutorials and forum posts Iv found on here, thanks guys!)
Thing is, I have no idea what all the sections of the 'create map' really mean. Particularly the License section. Not having passed the bar, I have no idea what any of the license entail. And the last thing I want is to upload my work and have someone else taking the credit for my work because they have a better understanding of license. Oh, and what is Colning all about?
Hopfully by the time I get all the info I need, Ill have my map ready to upload and be played! Cant wait heh!
Umm... theres a top down zombie shooter that does some intresting things with camera angles called zombie city;
Theres Zombie Arena thats a small area with Waves of zombies you have to defeat;
And theres NOTD.
They sound 'similar' to what you've said and I cant think of anything closer.
Very fun game, just a little fast paced and hectic for new players (In my personal experience) though Im sure once I know whats going on it'll be much easier
The messages saying things have been destroyed get a little hard to follow as well, maybe shorten the text a little?
I also find the Battlecruisers Buttons a little overkill all in one box. Maybe put the defenctive abilities into one list, and so on (like how a worker has basic and advanced buildings in diffrent 'tabs')
So I've been trying to play about with the Queen Larva (or Larva Queen, which ever way round it is) and I cant get the consume ability to work. I can go into a critter but when I take control it doesn't have the button to consume. I've gone into Data and added the ability and the button but its not there. Is it maybe an issue with the unit changing hands?
Will I need to do anything to replace the Larva once she consumes or will the ability take care of all that for me?
So I'm making a map similar to 'Zerg in the City' where waves of Zerg constantly assault a Fortified Terran base.
Its going great so far, but the biggest hick-up is having units inside bunkers when the game starts.
Iv seen a couple of triggers that move near by units into the bunker at the beginning of the game but I want/need/would like to have them start the game already inside.
Any help would be great! thanks =D
(hope this is in the right section, assumed a Data solution would be the way forward but if I knew that, I wouldn't need to ask! Heh)

Is there a way to set fiering arks for diffrent weapons on a single unit?
ie a Carrier that has Port and Starboard turrets but can only launch its interceptors from its Prow
