Yes, I have returned to normal camera several times (CTRL-SHIFT-C). I simply did an overhead view because I continued to work on the map a bit before I decided to post a picture and I moved the camera in that position to get some stuff done.
For some reason, when I try to select things in the editor, I am selecting them diagonally. This is not a camera problem, and I have already restarted my computer twice. Does anybody know how to turn the selection back to normal?
I have provided a picture for your reference. Please mouse over it.
Ahaha! Fair enough. Ok, my critique: picture 2, the webbing for an example is jutting out into the middle of no-where. Screen 3 has a bit of terrain object clipping which could be easily sorted. I feel like you could make more use of webbing etc. especially on the corners of buildings.
Love the map though overall, 'Good effort' ;)
I totally agree, with one exception: there is also a scientist standing in the middle of all this infestation, calmly. And perfectly unharmed and ignored by the infested marines around him.
My friends and I have been playing colonists a lot lately and they have some queer suggestions.
1) when you select colonists, you still retain the supply depot but can't build more. Instead you can build crops, which can be walked through, provide supply, and are cheaper. They should also be 2x2 and block the opponents sight.
2) command bio-dome now has the ability to reinforce structures and increase their max HP by a set percentage.
3) bio-dome can also generate destructible rock piles.
Thread's a bit old, but seems to still be relevant.
Just got myself into the beta today and had a few hours to poke around the available assets. Figured I'd show off my initial test maps.
I'm not completely happy with any of the out-of-the-box tileset packages, but once you start to mix and match individual textures they can do some incredible things. Can't wait to get my hands on the full list of assets.
EDIT: And one more. Not exactly playable, but it looks nice.
Was that first picture inspired by the HOTS opening cinematic, by any chance?
I'm gonna start out by saying this looks really good. However,
a) That podium doodad is out of place. You should probably remove it or make it the center of the viewing area.
b) Given the fact that your zoo lacks abundant human traffic, the zoo manager would probably decide he wouldn't need ten latrines in this viewing area. Two is usually fine.
c) As a suggestion, perhaps you could put some metal plating textures (even Terran Tarmac doodads) on the viewing area.
d) And finally, there is a poor ursadon in the middle of the screenshot, trapped on a cliff with no way out.
They have some sort of Undead (Forsaken I think) and Night Elves as well listed. They will also work on nonplayable races with techtrees, among them Demons, Naga, and Trolls.

It's in the editor.

What if Psi Destroyer just removes energy from enemies and harms psionic units? Or something like that.

Stopped reading after here because I realized Tainted would be right for everything else he said. I totally agree with this statement.

We could always do Hybrid Base.

Wow. Wo. Wow. Wow.
That's possible in StarEdit? I wasn't aware it could do that.

I think that the height on the Reaver needs to be toned down a bit, and the width fleshed out a bit more. Otherwise it looks really good.

Ask Thrikodias?
I don't know, GN usually makes these sorts of requests faster.

EDIT: NOPE NEVER MIND>

The cliffs would be better if they were a concrete type, like Korhal or New Folsom Manmade.

4) bio-dome gains scanner sweep.
